Foremost, thank you for being here.

I have spoken of this work in some places and I know that some of you have been waiting for it. And what is the first thing that comes with waiting? Expectations. I don't know if I'll be able to live up to your expectations and hopes for this work, but let's just say that I'll do my own thing and try and see what happens.

So, whenever I write something regarding the Mahabharata the first thing I do is categorise that as a fanfiction. But, just this one time, dare I say, I'll try to stick more to the pre-created storyline and modify to the extent of making this more of a retelling and less of a fanfiction. And the only reason I have enough courage to do this today is because just how much love you all have given each and every one of my Mahabharata-related works.

The first few chapters of this work (I don't remember exactly how many) were originally published in a community book here on Wattpad as a one-shot series. But well, the admin stopped taking my entries after a while due to whatever reason and after trying for a while, I finally decided to release this as a book myself.

Because, why not?

So, this book is written majorly from the perspective of someone that I am yet to find a Mahabharata retelling about, and purely because of who our narrator is (and also because of my own curiosity) the storyline will focus (atleast initially) more on a certain Pandava brother than the others. We'll explore him as a character, and his relationship with the one person who, I personally think, consists of more of his character than the rest of his life put together XD (no shade here, btw)

Also, very importantly, the updates of Nothing's Conventional About Us are put on hold for now, while this book is being published. I've reached a juncture there, and once we reach a similar juncture here, I'll shift gears back to that book. So, moral of the story - this book and NCAU will be put on hold alternatively, till one of this is successfully finished

Once again, thank you for being here so long, and just for the sake of your patience, here's a present: Ask me absolutely anything. About this book, myself or otherwise, and you'll have an honest answer. Or tell me a random fact - about yourself or otherwise. Let's chat it up, while I release the part.

Because I've come so far with y'all that it's unbelievable, and I think this might just be the best time to get to know each other better.

~Love and gratitude,
Bristi xoxo
