SUCKED INTO THE BOOK

CHAPTER 1

''Confusion'' this is the only emotion I am feeling right now. As I stare at the cieling of my room or maybe not mine room.

I can't understand.''What the hell is going on'', I shouted inside my mind.

''Mahi are you ready beta''?Came a voice from downstairs my supposed mother.I may look rude , but hear me out first .......

FLASHBACK

The feeling of being weightless and drowning is all i am feeling now.

''Is this a dream ? If it is , then why does it feel so real ?''

I opened my eyes and again closed it due to burning feeling in my eyes , is it liquid , wait ! is it water ? But how? I tried to open my eyes again and only able to open a little , squinting my eyes to see it's dark and only a little bit of light in circular shape above me is helpful in seeing anything.

Then suddenly I started to become conscious of my surrounding slowly realizing , that feeling of being weightless and drowning is not some game of my subconcious mind that in reality , I was drowning and with realization ,I also started to choke due to lack of oxygen. I tried to swim towards the light but my body started to give in between due to exshaution and tiredness. My eyes started to close and all i can feel is the burning sensation in my lungs.

As I keep falling into the dark abyss in my half concious , a voice in my mind keep repeating like a mantra that maybe , '' all of this is a big scary dream and someone will soon woke me up."

As I closed my eyes fully on the brink of death or a nightmare, I feel something snaking around my body pulling me and then I fully black out .

And then i woke up in a hospital with unfamiliar faces hovering over me. Me being a confused soul , I asked " Who are you all?"As ,I said those words whole room become silent and then a man height of approx 5.10 with brown skin and  hazelnut shade of eyes with hair color black and white in some rare spots and he seems to be in his late  forties  ,panicked and started screaming for doctor . A man in a white coat must be a doctor came running inside the room and before he even ask , the man who has been panicking told him pointing his fingers towards me and facing the doctor he said" why she is asking who we are ? Didn't she only drown then why  in the name of god she is not recognizing us." He finished saying panickly.

"Is he  really  talking about me ?"I turned around to see if someone is behind even though his finger is  painfully  pointing towards me and  i was hoping that someone is behind me but all i got dissapointment to not find anyone behind me.

The doctor came towards me taking my one hand checking the pulses and then my eyes , heartbeat and started reading some type of file which is on the table  beside the bed on which i am sitting on .

As doctor was reading the files me and the another occupants in the room sre having a staring competition and i will definitely win.

One player out and  now only one and other person remains , as i was near mt glory victory , suddenly a voice came out saying " looks like she has amnesia , but worry not it wll be temporary ."  But doctor how could it be? Isn't she was just nearly drowned ."  the lady asked satnding beside the man asked with concern lacing in her voice . " It can be due to 'Brain Hypoxia' " the doctor answered. After seeing
our blank faces he further elaborated " It's a condition in which neurons cells started to collapes or you can say die due to lack of oxygen  which can be due to not being able to get enough oxygen during the time when she was nearly drowned in the lake and it's also indicates that she was resuced within four minuted after her drowning becuse if not she have been gone in coma or even die, again due to he neuron's dying in lack of oxygen. you guys are lucky that it's only a temporary loss ".

After listening to this , I was horrified and by looking the faces of the people they are also feeling same . " how can i be nearly drowned when i was sleeping in my room and who are these people ? I want to back and i want my mam and dad ." As i was thinking i didn't even know when i started crying .

Then suddenly i was pulled in a embrace a hand started stroking my hair and drawing invisible pattern on my back to calm me down . Feeling the warmth of the person , I started crying more pouring all my jumbled emotions  through my tears . My eyelids started to feel heavy and i again began to slip into unconciousness only a very low voice ringing in my ears telling me to not to worry and that they are here.
