Sonic the Hedgehog (x Reader)

We get an overview of what the city had looked like, but that moment was short lived.

You paced through the city next to Sonic, leaving visible trails of blue and [F/C], as Doctor Robotnik was chasing the both of you. Well, he was holding your hand but at this point, you didn't care.

Flying wasn't much of a good idea, and Robotnik's robots were shooting lasers, left, right front and center.

When you regained your strength, you let go of Sonic's hand and started to fly up into the sky, but slightly above him.

The hedgehog slid right as he avoided a blast and you flew right above it as you dashed at the same speed as Sonic.

Robotnik went left and right in his spacecraft as he was trying to once again blast you and Sonic. He jumped on top of a car and off it as flew by it.

Then an explosion set off as you and Sonic were side by side, then the scene froze, getting a good angle of you two as Sonic looked at the screen, and you were looking directly at him.

"So, we know what you're thinking. 'Why are those two really cool looking aliens being chased by a madman with a mustache from the civil war?" Sonic began, as he was still running with Y/N, away from the doctor.

"Well, to be honest, it feels like we've been running, or flying our whole lives. Are we going to fast?" Y/N added, then asked Sonic who continued with his part of the narrating.

"It's kind of what we do— you know what? Let's back up." Then a flashback could be seen, with a bunch of different clips from throughout the journey, while Sonic mimicked a flashback sound.

A beautiful horizon of the island was played out. A lush landscape of a mountainous valley, with the sea surrounding it. And there were a few waterfalls seen, that just made it even prettier.

"This is the island where we're from," Y/N said, then two dashes, illuminating a bright blue and F/C aura ran through the island.

"It had everything. Sandy beaches, cascading waterfalls, public access to loop-de-loops." She continued, then a path broke down. But they continued to race. Sonic went through the loop, but you just went past it.

"And we never had to catch a school bus, because we could run and fly across the entire island," Sonic ran up a hill and landed on the other side of the ramp, and you continued to fly, but landed on the other ramp and also started to run, just so it could be fair for Sonic.

"in less than 2 seconds." Sonic finished, then we could see a mini Sonic running, then a little Y/N catching up to him.

"Also, there was no school." The hedgehog said as he then turned into a ball as he continued to race along with his best friend.

"I know, pretty sweet island right? Y/N, continue." He said as they carried on with their little race. Sonic jumped out of his ball and shouted a little "Yeah!", while Y/N just did a pose.

"We were born with extraordinary powers, and told to keep them secret. And like any kid.." she said, as the boy went in a zig zag pattern between two mountain and Y/N in a swirly pattern.

"We did the exact opposite." The two aliens said in unison. Their child versions went on with race, then it soon ended with them landing in a small hut, where a large owl was sitting, sleeping rather.

Sonic bumped the owl as she finally woke up, and her teal eyes shone.
"That's Longclaw. She took care of us." he said then bounced back and began to laugh. And Y/N just looked at Sonic with a hyperactive smile as she soon laughed with the blue hedgehog.

"She was basically Obi-Wan Kenobi..." Longclaw looked at her two children, her eyes closed again before her face feigned an unsurprised expression.

"if Obi-Wan Kenobi had a beak and ate mice."

"Sonic, Y/N, someone could have seen you two." Longclaw warned as she looked at you and him.

"No one saw us, we're too fast!" Sonic reassured. "And, I wanted to bring you this." he continued as he pulled a sunflower like flower out of his hair, presenting it to Longclaw.

Y/N joined in by pulling a daisy out of her hair too. Longclaw smiled, thinking her children's gesture was sweet and thoughtful.

She was about to take the flowers before a sound could be heard. Longclaw looked up and her eyes widened.

Behind the two children, outside the hut stood the masked Echidna warriors, along with the chief, and to make matters worse, they were armed.

"GET DOWN!" The owl yelled as she spread her wings, and leaped forward, trying to protect you and Sonic. The door luckily closed, as the arrows hit it.

Another bunch of them pierced through the window, and right through yours', and Sonic's flowers.

"Turns out, with great power, comes great power-hungry bad guys." Sonic said as the rest of the Echidnas dashed to their home.

"And we led them right to us." the girl added, as their child selves were inside of Longclaw's wings.

She burst through the window, grabbing hold of the two as she flew through the island. The Echidna Tribe continued with their assault of arrows, almost, but not hitting Longclaw.

Until.. one specific arrow had pierced Longclaw's side, causing her to fall to the ground.

"Listen carefully, you two." She began as she put you down. Both you and Sonic had puppy eyes on your faces as you listened to Longclaw.

"You have power unlike anything I've ever seen, and that means someone will always want it." she said, you couldn't believe what was being said to you.

"The only way to stay safe is to stay hidden."

Longclaw took out a golden ring, then threw it to the side. A portal was opened and there was a dark blu area beyond it.

"This world is on the far side of the universe, you and Y/N should be safe there." A lot of questions were coursing through their minds.

"We don't wanna go without you!" Sonic exclaimed.

"You must." Longclaw said in a firm tone, then handed the bag of rings to you.

"These rings will be your most important possession.." She continued, then the Echidnas came through to them. They were still armed.

"If you're ever discovered, use one."

"Never stop running... and stick together!" Longclaw said, as she used her wing to push the children to the portal. They stopped for a moment, and looked at her with scared, and solemn eyes.

"Now go!" Then Sonic took hold of Y/N's hand and ran through the ring portal. He looked back, and saw that Longclaw was now head to head with the Warriors.

"Longclaw!" Sonic exclaimed, then let go of Y/N's hand to get back to the portal.

"Goodbye, you two. Stick together always." Those were her last words to Sonic and Y/N.

By the time they got to the portal, it had already vanished. When the realisation hit, it was a massive blow to the emotion bank.

They were out of breath and they once again looked at each other.
