The sky was dim. The sun was setting. It was a perfectly fine day for the land of Natlan, especially one of their villages. Their economy thrived.. and many residents lived happily within the village. It was one unfortunate day.. which the people of the village, would never forget. The day grew darker.. darker than ever. And the sky became a blood red, what could only be described as the end of the world.
"Let's already get in there and rip them to shreds! HAHAHA!" Oretov cackled atop the cliff a distance away from the village. "Let's cause a genocide that they'll never forget.." Jiang-Duo followed up, his audible breathing within his gas mask breaking the ominious silence. "What do we do?" Celios asked.. and there stood Astreal, his robotic right eye glowing a dark, pulsing red. He got up, pulling his reinforced claymore out from the ground, approaching the group of his other lieutenants along the edge of the cliff.
"We shall.. begin our crusade." Astreal muttered, his expression neutral, but embodied a sense of murderous intent.
Without any warning, and the village people saw a torrent of soldiers charging down from the mountains. As the soldiers enter the village, the houses were lit on fire or had dynamite thrown at it to turn it into oblivion. The village people screamed and run, but no one, no matter what age, gender, or height.. one by one, the village people were all rushed into houses.. and all burnt alive.
A woman, holding her baby, tried to hide from the carnage. She runs, as the baby cries.. she tries to hush the child, but it starts to grab the other soldiers attention. "There's someone there!" "Go get her!"
The woman panics.. not sure what to do. She frantically tried to find a place to hide, trying to hush her baby by rocking the baby gently, humming a lullaby. But as she does so.. she felt the barrel of a gun pressed against her head. She didn't dare to look up. She just glanced up.. seeing Astreal's glowing eye under the darkness of the sky, his figure concealed by the smokes and shadows.
"P-please.. spare her.. she's just a baby.." The woman pleaded. Astreal, whose head still full of fury.. gently held her child. He looked at the baby, reminding him of what he had lost.. he passed the baby to another soldier. "..take this kid.. and take it to another town."
"But sir, this-" "You heard me. Now go."
The soldier went took the baby away, and the mother, relieved her child was safe. She looked up, and only saw the barrel of Astreal's revolver pointing down. Then, in a split second, a shot went off.. and everything went dark.
