As the first light of dawn breaks, I watch the sun rise slowly, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink. Finally, my shift guarding the camp is over. I nod at Leon, and we both turn to head back towards our camp. A slight breeze stirs the sand, which stings any exposed skin.

"Are you sure everything is alright, bro?" Leon asks, his voice filled with concern.

"Yeah, bro," I reply, a bit more sharply than intended.

He tilts his head and nudges me playfully. "Ah, I know what's got you all quiet."

I frown in confusion. Did he see her too?

"The Over Lord," he says softly. I let out a sigh of relief.

"You have nothing to worry about, you are one of the best, Ash. Your fire manipulation, your control," he continues.

"Fire Kisser," I mutter under my breath.

Suddenly, Leon wraps his arm around me, pulling me into a headlock. "Who's the fire kisser now?" he laughs, ruffling my hair.

"Still you," I manage to say, despite being half-choked by his playful grip.

After taking our time we reach the camp and walk through the high walls that keep our camp safe. The guards stand on the top of the wall, vigilant and alert, they nod at us as we pass through, acknowledging that we have returned. Our camp was peaceful but always buzzed with a warm energy. The ground was covered in sand from the desert, but it was soft when walking on. There was cactuses randomly placed dotting the landscape, the natural green of the plant contrasting the golden sands.

In the distance, I can see some of the Fire Borns using their free time to practice their skills, flame throwing in controlled bursts. Their eyes glowing orange when conjuring their power. The colours of the camp were, red, orange and yellow which was a constant reminder of our shared element.

We walk further into the camp and see the training arena, bustling with activity. The Fire Borns were preparing to showcase their skills for the Over Lord. "That's him Ash," Leon says as he taps my shoulder directing my glance to another training ground. I can only barely make out the black slicked back hair and white skin. I watch Ember as she throws her fire balls at the targets set up for her.

As we walk further into the camp, the sense of camaraderie is palpable. People greet us warmly, their smiles genuine. This is more than just a training ground; it is a community, a place where we grow, learn, and support each other in mastering our unique abilities. The fire camp, with its blend of tranquillity and dynamism, is a testament to the strength and resilience of its inhabitants.

The sun beams down on us, its intense rays making me squint as I shade my eyes to watch Ember. Leon is completely captivated by her; his gaze never leaves her. She finishes her demonstration, throwing fireballs with precision, each one hitting the target dead centre. The arena erupts in applause, though the Over Lord remains seated, his expression one of apparent boredom.

I stand by the arena as Ember walks over to address Leon, his eyes filled with a mix of admiration and dread. Ember, with her platinum blonde hair and striking orange-hazel eyes, is a sight to behold. She is slim and always wears the same red vest and shorts that reveal her toned legs.

"You smashed that," Leon says, smiling at her. I can see how happy she makes him.

She shakes her head slightly, "Ash? Do you think so?" Leon looks at me, seeking reassurance.

"I thought it was great, Ember, but the Over Lord didn't look impressed," I reply honestly.

Ember opens her mouth, "I thought that too, thanks, Ash," she says softly. I notice Miles, our Flame Leader, gesturing for me to come over with a wave. Leon winces at the command whilst tapping me on my shoulder, "Good luck bro,"
