Spencer's POV

As me and Hanna finish our coffee, I keep thinking what Hanna got me into. I mean if he's anything like my father... I stop thinking right there and just start to cry. Hanna looks up and says "spence what wrong?" I roll my eyes "you just set me up with some guy I don't know and I don't trust him to go somewhere alone with him." She looks at me with sad eyes " hey spence, everything's gonna be okay it's just one date it doesn't mean your stuck with him for life." I get calmer now she was right it's just one date " you okay she asked "yeah I'm gonna send him my address."I say and smile.

It's 6:00pm and Hanna did my hair and I wore a skinny jeans, a black shirt and a colorful cardigan. I put on my brown boots and waited for Toby.
One I here a knock on the door to me and Hanna's apartment I ran and opened the door and Toby stood thee wearing jeans and a blue shirt that made his eyes pop.

Toby's POV

As go out to my truck I run in front of spencer and open her door for her. "Thank you" she smiles. I go around to the drivers seat and I start to drive to the beach. "So where are we going." Spencer asked excitedly. "It's a surprise" i say. "I hat surprises she mumbles. " well you'll like this one,I promise." And with that've went to the beach.

Spencer's POV

Once i saw we were at the beach I get very confused. Isn't it November? He must have been reading my mind because he said "now I know what your thinking it's the middle of November and this guy took me to the beach but just wait and she were gonna have fun." I just decided to trust him so I get out and he takes my hand at fist I jump but I have to remember he's not my dad. When we get the the area by the dock I see a little canoe for us he gets in them takes my hand and helps me in. "My mom always told me to be confident with girt but treat them right so I thought why not do something totally crazy like me dad told me to." He says smiling. With out realizing it I'm crying.

Toby's POV
Crap! What did I say why is the most beautiful girl ever crying. "Hey what's wrong" I ask calmly. "Sorry it's just that when you mentioned your mom being amazing and your dad being a good dad I just thought of my child hood and how I didn't have that to teach me how to treat a guy." She cries. " hey you can tell me if you want." I say. She smiles and says "maybe I do need to let it out. Okay but you have to promise not to judge me." She says. I nod. "My father abused me and my mom was to high to ever notice and now I can't even be around people that aren't Hanna because I'm scared they will hurt me just like my parents." She cries. All I do is put my arm around her and tell her "hey, you don't have to worry about me I would never hurt you, never." She smiles and puts her head on my shoulder and we just sit there enjoying each other company. Then Spencer speaks up "thank you." "Why do you need to thank me?" I asked confused. "Because you listened." She said looking at me. I couldn't help it I had to Kiss her. So I did and it was the most magical thing in the entire world.

Spencer's POV

As we we were kissing I got butterflies it just felt so right. We pulled apart and stared into each other's eyes. Then he said "let's go it's getting late." I actually started to believe for the first time in my life. I started to believe in love. I grab his hand as we walk to the truck. That was the best date ever.
