Days passed since the trial, and the Scout Regiment began preparations for reclaiming Wall Maria. The trial brought a mix of emotions, but one thing was certain: you were now a Scout, alongside Eren, Armin and Mikasa. The prestige and danger that came with the title weighed heavily on your mind.

As you donned the Scout Regiment's uniform, a surge of pride swelled within you. You thought back to your father's words: "The only way to change our fate is to take up arms and fight." Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes.

You remembered the countless nights spent training, the sacrifices made, and the setbacks overcome. It all led to this moment.

During the induction ceremony, Commander Erwin's words resonated deeply: "Scouts are the vanguard of humanity's survival. You will face unimaginable dangers, but your bravery and conviction will forge the path to reclaiming our world."

As you looked around at your fellow Scouts, you felt a sense of belonging. Eren's determination and newfound power, Armin's strategic mind, Mikasa's unwavering strength — together, you'd face the Titans and uncover the secrets beyond the walls.

But amidst the excitement, Levi's distant behavior lingered in your thoughts. You knew you had to push the doubts aside and focus on the journey ahead.

In the midst of chaos, you found solace in the routine. Your skills improved, and camaraderie with your fellow Scouts grew.

Still, Levi's enigmatic presence haunted you.

At first, you dismissed it as stress from the trial and upcoming missions. But as time went on, you couldn't shake the feeling that Levi was deliberately keeping his distance. The brief moments you shared, once filled with warmth and understanding, now felt forced and strained.

The memory of his concerned expression and gentle touch still lingered, making his newfound distance all the more painful.

During meetings, he addressed you formally, his eyes avoiding yours. In the barracks, he'd depart swiftly after dinner, citing duty or strategy sessions. His usual sharp wit and sarcasm were replaced by a detached politeness.

One evening, as you walked back to the barracks, you spotted Levi ahead, his stride purposeful. You hastened to catch up, but he quickened his pace.

"Captain!" you called out, trying to sound casual.

He halted, turning partially toward you. "Yes?"

His expression was neutral, but his eyes seemed... guarded. The faint creases around his eyes, usually a sign of amusement, were now etched with tension.

"I wanted to discuss the upcoming mission," you said, feeling a flutter in your chest.

"I've assigned Arlert to brief you," he replied, his voice measured. "He's more familiar with the terrain."

You nodded slowly, hiding your disappointment. "Yes, sir."

Levi nodded curtly and continued on his way.

You watched him disappear into the crowd, feeling a pang in your heart.

What had you done wrong?

Was it something you said?

Or was it something he saw in you?

You couldn't shake the feeling that Levi was pushing you away.

As you entered the barracks, Armin approached, concern on his face.

"Hey, everything okay? You look troubled."

You forced a smile. "Just mission jitters."

Armin's eyes narrowed. "It's the Captain, isn't it?"
