Helloooo!
Can't say this is my first story... I've written a few before, along with some fanfictions (like Promise me you'll stay [ Kaveh x Alhaitham ]). But this plot has been on my mind for agessss, and I'm finally putting it out there.
My apologies in advance for any errors—since I pre-type my chapters to avoid stressing about deadlines. I don't have a strict posting schedule though... sometimes I manage to write 3 chapters ahead, and other times it's 7-8, depending on how motivated I am. But I won't leave you waiting for more than 2-3 weeks.
The story unfolds during the pivotal moment when Lena, Sophie and Zoe are preparing to leave for their first year in college. It's the end of summer, a time filled with anticipation and bittersweet goodbyes.

The soft hum of airport chatter surrounded Lena, Sophie, and Zoe as they waited to board their flight. Lena's heart was pounding in her chest. She adjusted her backpack, eyes scanning the sea of travelers, but her thoughts were anchored to everything they were leaving behind. College. It felt too surreal.
Sophie nudged her. "You look like you're about to pass out. It's just a flight, you know."
Lena half-laughed, shaking her head. "Yeah, I know. It's just... this is it. Once we board that plane, it's all real."
Zoe, who had been tapping away on her phone, chimed in. "I think it's exciting. Finally some freedom." She smiled, but there was a hint of unease in her voice. Despite her confidence, it was clear the weight of the moment was also settling in for her.
Sophie rolled her eyes, leaning back in her seat. "If by freedom, you mean stressing over essays and finals, then sure, freedom."
Zoe glanced up from her phone and smirked. "We'll manage. And besides, it's not just about school—it's about starting fresh. Right, Lena?"
Lena forced a smile. "Yeah... fresh starts." But her voice betrayed the uncertainty bubbling beneath.
The three of them sat in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. Zoe tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, fiddling nervously with her boarding pass. She always seemed so put-together, but Lena knew her well enough to see the slight tremble in her hands.
Sophie broke the silence, drumming her fingers on the armrest. "We'll be fine, you know. We've got each other. College won't know what hit it."
Zoe grinned, nudging Lena. "Especially when Sophie's already planning to overthrow the student council on day one."
Lena chuckled, her tension easing just a little. "You're probably right."
The announcement for their flight crackled through the speakers, pulling them out of the moment. It was time. Zoe stood up, taking a deep breath. "Well, here we go. Ready?"
Lena hesitated, then nodded. "Yeah. Ready." But as they grabbed their bags and headed toward the gate, she couldn't shake the feeling that things would never quite be the same again.
