Anamika's eyelids fluttered open, her gaze drifting across the dimly lit train compartment. The gentle rocking motion and soft hum of the engine lulled her into a state of relaxation. She had almost drifted off to sleep again when a faint whisper pierced the air.

"Anu"

Her heart skipped a beat. Who knew her name? She sat up, scanning the compartment, but found no one paying attention to her.

"Anamika..." The whisper grew louder, more insistent.

Memories long buried began to resurface. Rajasthan, her childhood home. A boy with piercing brown eyes, a mischievous grin, and a voice that sent shivers down her spine.

"Anamika, tum theek to ho?  ?" (Anamika, are you ok ?) he had asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

She recalled the warmth of that summer afternoon, and the memories of that one boy.

As the train rumbled on, Anamika's thoughts unraveled the threads of her past. She woke  up when her eyes opened in search of that boy.

Anamika's pov:-
"Kon? hai ye jo har din har samay humare sapno mein humse baat karna chahta hai? Kya ye bus humara khwab hain ya phir humare ateet se jura hua koi saksh".

Who is he Why does he appear in my dream every day every time she wonders?

Aaj finally 12 saalon baad hum apne ghar vapas ja rahe hain.

Today finally I am going back to my home Bihar.

Anamika's thoughts drifted back to her childhood, memories long buried beginning to resurface.

Kyoun papa ne hume humesha apne aap se alag rakha kyoun unhone Hume Banaras bhej diya.
"Why did Papa send me away?" she wondered.

At 12 years , Anamika was torn from her roots, leaving behind Bihar's lush fields and warm people. Banaras, a city of temples and ghats, became her new home.

"Papa, aap hume kyoun bhejna cha rahe hain?" she recalled asking, tears streaming down her face.

"Bas tum ye samjh lo, beta ki banars tumhare liye surakshit hai," her father's voice echoed in her mind. "You'll be protected there."

Kisse surakshit?kya hai aisa jo humse papa ne itne saalon se chupaya hai.  A determination arched her face

Protected from what?

Anamika's mind raced with questions.

As the train approached Bihar, Anamika felt an inexplicable pull, a sense of belonging she couldn't shake.

She remembered the vibrant festivals, the smell of fresh soil, and the warmth of Bihar's people.

Anamika resolved to uncover the truth behind her father's decision, to understand the secrets he kept hidden.

Anamika stepped out of the train and onto the platform, the familiar scent of Bihar enveloping her like a warm hug.

As she exited the railway station, Shruti Sharma, a police officer working under her father's guidance waited in the car.

"Anamika ,welcome back," Shruti said, giving her a warm hug and her eyes somber.

Shruti added, her voice trembling, "Anamika mujhe maaf kar dena" (Anamika forgive me).

Anamika's heart skipped a beat. "Kya hua, Shruti?" (What happened, Shruti?)

Shruti hesitated before speaking. "Kuch din pehle... unki tabiyat kharab ho gayi, aur wo ab nhi rahe (afew days before  ... his health deteriorated and now he is no more )

Anamika's world crashed. "Mere papa? Nhi rahe" she whispered, tears streaming down her face.

She couldn't believe what Shruti just said now.Her legs trembled and she fell down.Shruti made her stand and said,"sambhalo Anamika khud ko,"

Anamika said,"kaise ,kaise sambhale khudko humare papa nhi rahe aur tumne Hume bataya bhi nhi."
(How,would I control myself,my father died and you didn't even care to tell me?.)

Shruti,"main kya karti Anamika, sir ne jaane se phele mujhse wada liya tha ki main tumko kuch na bataoon."
Shruti took Anamika with her in the car.

The car ride was a blur. Anamika's mind replayed memories of her father, his laughter, his guidance.

"Anamika, main isse bahut dukhi hoon," Shruti said, embracing her. (Anamika, I'm deeply saddened by this.)

Anamika's eyes welled up again. "Papa kaise chale gaye hume chor kar unke alawa humara kon hai?" (How did Papa go?)

Shruti's voice was gentle. "Hum jaanch kar rahe hain.  ." (We're investigating. It seems like a heart attack.)

Anamika made her way to her father's room, . His desk drawer revealed a letter, addressed to her.

"Anamika,"

the letter began.

Jab tak tumhen yah leter milega tab tak main nahin rahunga. Mujhe maaf kar ,dena mujhe pata hai ki aaj tak humne tumse bahut sare Raj chupaye Hain per beta  yeh sab bus tumhari Suraksha ke liye tha.

"(If you're reading this, I'm gone. Forgive me for keeping secrets. But it was for your sake.)"

"Tum humesha puchti thi ki agar hum Bihar se hain to humare aage ye rajputi surname kyoun hai."haan beta asliyat mein hum Rajasthan se hi hai. Jab tum 5 saal ki thi to wahan pe kuch aisi cheezen Hui thi ki hume tumhari suraksha ke liye yahan aana pada."Beta humare kaam ke karan humari jindagi mein doston se jyada dushman hai. Jaipur haan wahin tumhe saari bataon ka pata chalega.
Agar tum kabhi rajasthan jaati ho to wahan apne Jaipur ki haveli jarur jaana, wahan tumhe keshav milega humara dost.
Apna khayal rakhna,

Tumhare papa,
Ranvijay Shekhawat.

Anamika's tears fell uncontrollably as she gazed at her father's photo. "Papa, aap kyoun gaye hum chode ke?" (Why did you leave us behind?)

Shruti,  enveloped her in a warm hug. "Anamika, I'm so sorry. I'm here for you."

Anamika sobbed, releasing pent-up emotions. Shruti listened attentively, offering words of comfort.

"Shruti, what am I going to do without him?" Anamika asked, her voice trembling.

Shruti's expression turned determined. "We'll face this together. I'll help you find out what happened to your father."

Anamika's eyes widened. "You think something's fishy?"

Shruti hesitated before speaking. "Let's just say, I have my doubts. We need to investigate."

Anamika's mind raced. Doubts?

Shruti handed Anamika a tissue. "Let's focus on the funeral preparations. We'll talk more later."

As they hugged again, Anamika felt a sense of relief with Shruti by her side.

Unnoticed by the duo, a stranger watched from afar, his gaze fixed on Anamika.
