I was sitting in my hotel room, supposed to be on a "business trip" when the knock on the door shattered my solitude. Opening it, I was stunned to see my girlfriend standing there, eyes burning with an intensity I'd never seen. "Surprise!" she said, but the shock was all mine. She stepped inside, looking around like she owned the place, and that's when she dropped the bombshell. "I've been keeping an eye on you," she said, her voice cold, "because I'm not just your girlfriend. I'm your boss." My mind raced, trying to piece together the lies and secrets. She revealed how she orchestrated this entire facade to test my loyalty, and while she spoke, her phone buzzed with messages from my colleagues. The room closed in on me as she confessed to knowing about my affair with the secretary. The ultimate betrayal wasn't just mine; she'd been playing a dangerous game of her own. The truth hit me like a freight train. My entire world collapsed in that instant. But before I could respond, the door behind her creaked open.

Another woman stepped in, her face equally familiar. My secretary. But something about her expression was off—too calm, too controlled.

"Did you tell him yet?" she asked, a slight smirk playing on her lips as she glanced at my girlfriend—no, my boss.

I stared at them both, heart pounding, confusion swirling. "Tell me what?"

My girlfriend—my boss—crossed her arms, her eyes colder than ever. "You're not as clever as you think, are you? You weren't the only one cheating, you see. I've been having my own little affair... with her." She gestured toward the secretary, who now leaned casually against the wall, watching the scene unfold like an amused spectator.

The room felt like it was spinning. My throat went dry as I tried to process what I was hearing. The secretary, the one I'd thought I'd been sneaking around with, was in on it the whole time.

"But here's the real twist," my boss said, stepping closer. Her voice dropped to a whisper, icy and sharp. "You're fired. Not because of the affair—but because you've been terrible at your job for months. We've just been waiting for the right moment."

The secretary reached into her bag and handed me an envelope. "Consider this your severance package," she said, grinning.

I opened the envelope with shaking hands. Inside was a single piece of paper with two words written in bold: Game Over.

And then, as if they had rehearsed it, both women turned and walked out, leaving me standing there in the suffocating silence, realizing that I was the only one who hadn't seen the game coming.
