*beep, beep, beep*

I open my eyes to see my alarm clock going off and flashing '6:30 am' in bright red.

I roll over and hit the snooze button and cover my face with a pillow.

"uuughhh." I scream into the pillow. It's Thursday, and I have school. Great.

"Keira, are you up?" I hear my sister Emilee say happily from the doorway.

"Unfortunately." I look at her and say.

"Oh come on! Today's special!" she giggles a little. "Today's mine and Luke's one year!" She claps and does a little happy dance.

"Congrats." I give a little fake smile. Yeah, I'm a bitch. So what?

"Well, someone's moody." She puts her hand on her hip. "Anyways, we're going out tonight. I was wondering if you wanted to come with? I can totally hook you up with one of Luke's friends or something. It'll be a double date!!" She smiles.

"Oh wow, really?!" I act all excited. "That sounds totally.. Lame." I get out of bed.

"Pleaseeee. He has this friend that thinks you're totes cute. So, we were planning on hooking you up tonight. Just go with us, please?" She does a puppy face, which, I'm not going to lie, was pretty adorable.

"If I say yes, will you go away?"

"OMG. YAY!! I'll text Luke. Get ready as soon as you get home!!" She smiles and walks out of my room. Damn. Why'd I say yes? I'm terrible with boys.

I decide to get up and put on some black jeans with holes in the knees and a simple white baggy sweater with a choker necklace. I put on some mascara and lipgloss. My hair is naturally curly, so I just leave it down.

I take one last look in the mirror. I'm pretty, but not gorgeous. My sister is model material, so I'm pretty much a potato next to her. I have long, soft brown hair and pale-ish skin. Bright green eyes, and sort of thick lips. While she has medium length blonde hair that's naturally straight, bright hazel eyes and a tan complexion. She also has a perfect body.

I walk out of the room and downstairs into the kitchen, the smell of pancakes fill the air. Mom's cooking?

"Mom? Is there a special occasion..?"

"Oh, good morning honey!" She smiles while flipping the pancake. "And no, is it wrong for me to make my kids breakfast?" She laughs.

"You're not going to be home again. Are you?" I glare at her.

She stops for a minute and turns to me. "He's sweet, I really like this guy."

"That's what you said about the last three.." I roll my eyes.

Mom was about to talk until a knock at the door interrupted her.

"DONT ANSWER THAT. ITS LUKE." I hear Emilee scream from upstairs. She quickly runs down the stairs and stumbles a little and answers the door. "Lukey!!" She pulls him into a hug.

"Hey babe." He kisses her cheek. "Happy one year."

"Happy one year!!" She kisses him.

"Yuck." I roll my eyes.

"Shut up, Keira." Emilee glares at me. "Are you ready for tonight babe?" She goes back to smiling at Luke.

"Mhm. And hey, Keira. I heard you were coming with. Calum is a sweet guy. You'll like him." He winks.

Ew. Sure Luke is a nice guy, but he's so full of himself. He thinks he's the king of the freakin world.

"Oh, look at the time. Better wait for the bus." I give off a rude smile and push through them out the front door and wait for the bus.
