The moon cast its silvery glow over the forest, transforming the darkness into an ethereal landscape. Leaves rustled softly, as if alive, their gentle whispers filling the air. Ronald moved with purpose, his footsteps quiet on the forest floor. As a vigilant and trained member of the pack, he was ever alert, scanning the surroundings for any sign of danger. His trained eyes swept across the terrain, taking in every detail, from the sway of a branch to the hoot of an owl in the distance. As he walked, a faint rustling caught his attention. He paused, his ears perked up and listened intently. The sound grew louder, and he recognized the low whine of a wolf in distress. Without hesitation, Ronald followed the sound, his heart racing with concern. He pushed through the underbrush and found a wounded wolf, its fur matted with dirt and leaves. The wolf's eyes locked onto Ronald's, filled with a mix of fear and gratitude. Ronald's instincts told him to be cautious, but his compassion took over. He approached the wolf slowly, speaking softly to calm it down.Once he reached the wolf's side, Ronald assessed its injuries. The wolf had severe gashes on its side and leg, likely from a brutal attack. Ronald knew he had to act fast to save the wolf's life. He carefully lifted the wolf and began the journey back to Black Moon territory. As he approached the pack's den, Ronald called out for Denzel, the pack's alpha. Denzel emerged, his expression curious, and took in the scene before him. "What happened here?" he asked, his voice firm but gentle.Ronald explained the situation, and Denzel nodded thoughtfully. "Bring him inside. We'll tend to his wounds and figure out what to do next."Under Denzel's guidance, the pack's healers worked tirelessly to nurse the wolf back to health. Ronald visited the wolf frequently, bringing food and water, and chatting with him to lift his spirits."What's your name, where did you come from ?" Denzel asked, with a firm tone.My name is Jacob and I'm from the Moonfall clan, Jacob said with his voice barely above a whisper.Ronald's expression turned grim. "What happened to you, how did you end up here?"Jacob's eyes clouded, memories flashing across his face. "I was part of the defense group. We were ambushed...outnumbered. I saw my pack members fall, one by one. I tried to fight back, but...I was no match. I ran, trying to escape, but they were everywhere. I stumbled upon a small opening and made a break for it, ended up here, in the forest.""How many of them were there?" Ronald asked with a mixed expression of anger and sympathy written on his faceJacob hesitated, his voice cracking. "Too many...at least two dozen. They seemed to know our weaknesses, our patrol routes...it was like they had inside help."Ronald's eyes narrowed, suspicion brewing. "Do you know who led the raid?"Jacob's gaze faltered, his voice barely audible. "His name was Ried...He's ruthless, cunning...will stop at nothing to eliminate anything standing in his way."The air seemed to vibrate with tension as Ronald processed Jacob's words, his mind raging at the mention of Ried's name"Denzel's expression turned grave as he gazed at Jacob. 'Ried, the alpha of Bluefur Pack, was once one of us; in fact, he was my beta. He was a skilled warrior and a member of our pack. I considered him a brother, a friend, Denzel said and paused for a while before continuing, but ambition consumed him, and he began to secretly gather followers, whispering lies and fueling discontent. His ultimate goal was to overthrow me, to take the alpha position for himself. I couldn't let that happen, so I banished him from our pack. But that didn't stop Raid's thirst for power. He formed the Bluefur Pack, gathering outcasts and misfits, and now he seeks revenge against us. He attacked us before, but we repelled him, and now I know he's planning for another attack.I'm sorry about that, Jacob managed to say. It's okay you can stay here for as long as you want, Denzel said, patting Jacob's shoulder.Thank you for your kindness I owe you my life, Jacob said with sincerity in his eyes"You're welcome, and remember you don't owe anyone your life; your life's yours," Denzel said with a smile on his face.As the days passed, the wolf's strength returned, and his personality began to shine through. He was charming, charismatic, and kind, with a quick wit and infectious smile. The pack members adored him, and Ronald found himself drawn to the wolf's warm demeanor.Once Jacob was well enough, Denzel invited him to join the pack on a hunt and Jacob agreed. During the hunt, Jacob proved to be a skilled hunter, taking down prey with ease and precision. As they returned to the den, they sat around a fire, each holding a bottle of beer; Denzel turned to Ronald and said, "I think we've found a valuable addition to our pack. What do you think?"Ronald nodded in agreement. "Jacob's got heart and his skills are undeniable. I think he'll fit in just fine.Denzel smiled, his eyes gleaming with approval. "I'm glad you agree, Ronald. Jacob looks like he's got a good soul, and he's already proven himself to be a valuable ally. I think he'll bring a fresh perspective to our pack." Ronald nodded, his mind racing with the possibilities. "With Jacob on our side, we'll be even stronger. Ronald raised his bottle and took a sip,' It's sad what happened to him, I know how it feels to see your pack members been slaughtered before your eyes, Yeah it's really painful but he's recovering quite well, it's nice to have another skilled warrior added to our pack, Denzel said offering his bottle in a silent toast and Ronald clicked his own against it, the soft 'cheers' hanging in the air, clicking their bottles together they continued drinking and staring at the cackling fire, their minds racing with possibilities.
