The elevator doors ping open, I take a massive sigh of relief when I see there's no supersoilders or tin men around. Now if i was Tony stark's office which room would i be.

I walk down a corridor full of doors. I open one on the left, a laundry room. I close the door and continue walking down the corridor. I come up to a staircase leading downwards, walking down I see a glass lab, jackpot, this must be Tonys office. I open the door, the lab is full of gadgets. It's a technerds wet dream.

I look around the lab, there's robots, there's hundreds of tools hanging on the walls. And then I see Iron man's suit. I place the envelope on the desk, job done. The suits is so fascinating, i surcume my temptation and walk up to the suit, I reach my hand out to touch it.

"Fascinating, isn't it." I freeze as I hear a rough male voice behind me, it then hits me. This job has been easy, too easy. I turn around to see a man with an eyepatch. He's wearing a black trench coat. This wasn't part of the plan. "Forgive me for the sudden intrusion to whatever it is you're doing in here, Miss Davies." he speaks. If i wasn't on edge before i definitely was now. My shoulders tighten as I say "how do you know my name?"

"I've been looking for you for a long time now, does your past ring a bell? I knew who you were when you were working under Dreykov, How could I not. You were in fact one of your generation's best widows." The man bluntly says.

I sigh, im fucked. "I stopped working for the red room, in case you weren't already aware it doesn't exactly fit the ideal family friendly career choice." i throw my hands up emphasising my distaste for it.

"Yet even after you left the red room you started working for Mrs. Beets, didn't you, correct me if i'm wrong but that career is not very family friendly either, hmm."

I stare at the man for a second. He's proved his point that he's got a background on me.

"Forgive me for asking but it's hurtful that you know so much about me, yet I don't have the pleasure of knowing you." I sarcastically reply. I'm frustrated at my lack of knowledge about my opponent in the room.

"My name's Nick Fury, I unlike you have the authority to be here. It's not many times that the people I'm trying to track down find me first, Miss Davies, and based on your little knowledge of me. You weren't trying to find me. So what are you in fact doing in Tony Stark's lab if you 'no longer work for the red room.'"

"I've entered a new career choice of being a post woman, i was delivering a letter." I am done with this interaction. "Normally post women use a postbox, why the personal delivery?" Nick fury says as he stares at me. "I needed to deliver it, in person, in exchange for a job as a barmaid." saying that out loud sounds ridiculous now that i think about it. "Once top widow for Dreykov reduced to a Barmaid/Postwoman, how very.....believable." Nick Fury replies, his voice laced with ignorance.

I lift my eyebrows up, feeling offended. "I've got to pay the bills somehow. Rent in New York isn't exactly 'cheap.'" I start to walk away when he steps in front of the door. Unable to exit, I step back. "I'd like to offer you a job as an avenger. As you already know you won't be the only ex widow on the team. I believe you could be a great asset. If you say yes I'm willing to pretend I never witnessed you in Mr Stark's office breaking and entering. Moving into the tower means you'd never have to worry about rent again."

I stand there shocked at the offer, me an avenger. "I'm not interested, I don't want to be famous, I'm trying to hide from the red room. I'm not about to get my name plastered on every magazine and newspaper and have a doll made of me. It kind of defeats the 'on low hiatus'." I look for a reaction in his face, he doesn't seem bothered by my rudeness.

"Miss davies, you should know having worked for the red room yourself. The red room will find you whether you make a name for yourself, or not. We both know Dreykov probably has someone keeping tabs on you right now. Joining the Avengers will just guarantee your safety. There are no cons for you here."

I stand there and begin to consider it, it would be what i've always wanted. I'd be safe.

"Ill join on one condition, The other Avengers know nothing about my past. I want this to be a new start. I don't need my past ruining something else for me."

"Thats no problem, i'm sure you'll fit in just fine." Nick fury says.

I smile "One last thing."

"Yes". he reptiles

"Do you guys allow cats?"
