It had been about 8 months since you met Feferi Peixes, the two of you had become good friends over that time, you spent as much time with her as you used to spend by yourself (That is to say most of it). You met the Princess of the Sea, funny enough, while drowning, you had fallen (been pushed) off the boat you were flarping on and as you sunk flailing to Sea floor she scooped you up and swam you quickly to her beautiful hive.

Whilst you sat together on her soft teal couch watching the fish through the window (a common activity you have become rather fond of) when something caught the corner of your eye, a little rainbow glitter, you looked over to Fef sat beside you, still completely transfixed by the fish and smiling wide. After a while you see it again, you decide to comment, or rather ask "Did you see that?"

"That sparkle, did you see it?" You clarify, she looks confused for a moment before realization hit her face, "O) ( ) ( ) ( t) (at's me!! My skin is really s) (iny t) (is time of year! 38D" she said as she stood up and and got into the water filtered light and sparked so brightly it was as if you held a mirror up to the sun "Woahh :0" you said as you took it in. you had felt the beginning sparks of a crush on Fef a few times before, but you'd snuffed them out before the could blossom into flame each time in fear of making things weird. But now, as she sparkled in beautiful rainbow hues of pink and fuchsia you couldn't deny how beautiful she truly was, and that cracked open the floodgates.

Your mind filled with all the things you liked about her, her unrelenting kindness, her genuine curiosity about the things you like and passion about the things she likes, her dedication to making Alternia a better place when her turn as Empress comes. Unlike most trolls you've met she treats you like an equal, she makes you truly happy unlike anyone else.

She sat back down at your side and continued to watch the fish, your heart raced, was she sitting this close before? You only half noticed you were staring when she turned and started talking to you "I'm gonna go get a snack you want some?" You stutter a few times before forcing out "Yes please" She got up and headed towards her kitchen as she called back "You got it! 38D".

You sat and waited for her, thoughts racing through your mind, you wanted to stomp out the small fire in your chest but found it quite impossible, you wanna tell talk to her about it! You just have to! You spend the ticking minutes working up your guts.

She got back a few minutes later with a big bowl of something that looked like a mix between popcorn and aquatic bugs, she popped one into her mouth and sat down, setting the bowl between the two of you, you decided to take your moment before she became too focused on the fish "Hey Fef?" You started "M) (m?" She responded with her mouth full "We've been friends-" you swallow hard feeling like you'll regret this "For a while... and I think it would be bad for me to keep secrets.." you continue, she looks a little concerned "Yea) (..?" She confirmed that she was listening as she turned to meet your eyes. "I really like you Feferi.. like you make me happy in a way that is hard to put to words-"

"A crus) (?" She cut you off, you muttered in surprise for a moment before you caught your tongue "Yes! That!" She looked at you for a moment, softly "I'm glad you eel t) (e salmon!" she chuckled for a little too long at her own fish puns before taking her hand in yours and smiling at you. She put her head on your shoulder as you watched the fish together until the sun went down so you can safely go out.
