Chapter 006
Flames
──────────────────

Solana finally had Wade in her grasp.

She held him in a tight headlock, and Wade couldn't help but admit to himself that he was surprised by how little he could breathe while in Sol's legs. Given the context of the situation, Wade couldn't find himself enjoying being crushed in between a woman's legs. If it was the bedroom, he would be beside himself in giddiness.

"W-w-w-w-wait! I can fix it. I can fix it."

Sol felt a strain in her muscles as she looked at Logan, silent at Wade's words. "Fix what?" Logan growled with his claws still planted in Wade's chest.

"Whatever it is that you guys did...." Wade responded, catching his breath." "Whatever made you so bad. Those..." he began to stand up, Sol loosened her grip on his neck, and Logan's blood-stained claws were no longer bound to his chest. He grunted in pain as they slid out of the organs that regenerated soon enough anyway. "Those pricks at the TVA. You heard him."

Logan's body halted from its tension; he looked down at his nemesis, not wanting to believe him. Nor did Sol. All this man has done for her was get her and her ex-husband into purgatory. Her and Logan shared a quick look with resilience behind their eyes.

"They have the power to end my universe, but they also had the power to change yours. Right, Sol?" Wade panted in exhaustion.

Sol was so caught up in the surreal present that she forgot about the deal she made with him. There was a chance that Nikki could comeback. It would have changed the entire timeline. She and Logan could finally have a second chance at a family who could change them for the better, and give them purpose.

Sol nodded her head and loosened her grip around his neck. "Yeah." She stood next to Wade to give him a chance to catch his breath. "He's right."

"We get back there, and we can fix your world. Together. All three of us. I promise. They can fix it."

Logan looked at Solana with deep consideration, and instantly felt insecure. What if, after all this time, Solana had lost the feeling he never lost for her? The uncertainty was clearly in his eyes.

"Hey!"

The powerlessness Logan felt was gone, as soon as he and the trio looked above, spotting a man in a tattered hood and cape. His face was covered by a shadow. Very convenient for a cameo. Right?

"We fight each other, we lose." The way he purposefully hid his identity intimidated them. The man looked like he had been in the wasteland for years. His clothes were stained with dirt, and his forearm guards were taped. Wade stood up after realizing who this man could have been. He was filled to the brim with glee, realizing no matter what happened, you could never see him blush (even thought you could see how happy he was through his pants).
