Isabelle Rose Jade Carter (born 28 December 2005) is a British racing driver, currently competing in Formula One for Ferrari. Although she hasn't won a race yet she has proved herself with multiple podiums and impressive overtaking and defending skills and fans believe she is destined to win in the near future.
Born and raised in Burford, Oxfordshire, England, Carter joined the Mercedes Junior Team in 2018, which lead her to drive for Mercedes from 2022 to 2024, making her one of the youngest and one of the first female driver to race in the series. After 2 years with Mercedes, Carter signed with Ferrari in 2024.
Carter, as a big FC Barcelona fan said that if Formula 1 hadn't worked out for her she would've been a footballer, having played for her school team.
In 2023, Carter featured in a Taylor Swift music video which marked the start of an Incredible friendship with immense support. When asked about it Carter commented "It was a great experience for me. Taylor randomly reached out and I was like 'yeah, sure, why the hell not." Fans often refer to Swift as 'Carter's mother' due to the love and support that they provide each other with. Taylor Swift has also been seen at multiple F1 supporting Carter and fans have spotted Isabelle at a few of Taylor's concerts.
Carter is also close friends with F2 driver Oliver Bearman. The two grew up together in the same town and even attended the same school. When asked about his friendship with Carter, Bearman commented "Yeah, we're good friends, we grew up racing together."
When asked about why she chose the number '95' Carter said "Kachow!" Referencing to Lightening McQueen's signature catchphrase from Pixar's Cars franchise.
