Clarabella:

I shivered, the cold rain falling heavily on us. Hook lowered his spyglass, his wet hair sticking flat to his face. He brought it behind his ear with his hook. God that was so unbelievably hot.

"It's all clear."

"No it's not." Uliana whisper-shouted. She pointed to where a hooded figure dashed into the building.

"Red." I rolled my eyes, of course she didn't listen to me.

"Looks like we have someone doing this for us, Morgie, Clarabella," Uliana spat out my name, "Keep watch." She sashayed off with Hook, Mal, and Hades.

"What should I do to warn you? Should I do a dog howl? I can do different dogs!" I giggled at Morgie's shouts. He sighed and shrugged his shoulders. I was halfway up the tree before Morgie turned around, and he soon followed suit. Once I found a nice, sturdy branch for us to stay and keep lookout, I carefully crawled onto it, the rain making the moss that grew on the bark slippery. Once I was stable enough, I turned to look at Morgie, who didn't seem as afraid as I thought he would be. After a few minutes of only the rain and our heavy breathing, Morgie interrupted the silence.

"What's even the dealio with you and Hook."

"What do you even mean?"

"Well you're like... always flirting with each other, y'know?" He tilted his head, "Do you even see him in that way? Like do you like like him?" He sounded like a 13 year old girl.

I paused, unsure of what to tell Morgie. On one hand, it would be nice to finally let someone who isn't Maleficent know how I felt for Hook. On the other, Morgie is Hook's best friend, and not really the best at keeping secrets. Who's to know he won't go blabbing to Hook as soon as this is all over, and Hook would surely not like me when he finds out I like him. I pulled my mouth into a line. What the hell, I should just tell him.

"Yeah, I do. Like a lot. Don't tell anyone though, only Mal knows so far."

"Clare..." His gaze was skeptical. "I'm pretty sure everyone knows."

My eyes widened. "Is it that obvious? Shit."

"Everyone but Hook himself yea-" We were cut off by the whoosh of a stone owl flying out the window of the castle.

"Shit, it's gonna alert Merlin! We have to warn them!" As if on cue, the bearded man himself came tromping through the brush on his way to the academy, muttering and swearing as he went.

"Blasted owl..." I looked at Morgie as he let out an impressively realistic howl. Merlin turned and looked in our general direction, but thankfully he didn't see us. Morgie barked as Merlin entered the building, and meowed in one final attempt to warn our friends. I shook my head, knowing that if they hadn't somehow hidden beneath the floorboards or in the walls, they were definitely caught.

"C'mon, let's get out while we still can, hopefully the watchmen don't have to suffer the same consequences as the ones who commit the crime." I gestured to Morgie to start climbing down the tree, he opened his mouth to protest, but closed it after realizing that if we didn't leave now, we were probably going to get years of detention. We basically slid down the slick bark, and ran to our dormitories. When I got to mine, I closed the door as quietly as I could, and turned to find a less than happy Maleficent, Hades, and Hook glaring at me.

Hook:

Clarabella pushed her wet hair behind her ears, leaning against the doorframe.

"How the hell did Beardy catch you?"

"He enchanted the damn thing so it couldn't fall into the 'wrong hands'" Hades' hair started to spark.

"And apparently, we were the wrong hands." Maleficent nudged her boyfriend, in an attempt to calm him down.

"I really don't see why it froze us, we were just tryin' to have some fun."

"It what?" Clare turned her gaze, her emerald eyes searching me. Her hair was starting to dry, causing it to frizz slightly, which is something I know she hates.

"Froze us, as soon as Uli opened the cookbook. Boom. Poof. I can't move a muscle." I spat, recalling the frustration of trying, but not being able to move at all.

"Red tipped him over." Maleficent whispered to Clare.

"You prick." I scowled.

"And stole his shoes." They looked down to where I was very shoe-less. I stood up on my tip toes, emphasizing the fact.

"Yeah, yeah, we get it. You like my feet. But can we focus here? We're going to be in detention till the next blue moon!" I sat on my bed dejectedly.

"You and Morgie are lucky bastards, we didn't rat you out." Hades growled. "Great watchmen you were." His voice dripped with sarcasm as he grimaced at Clare.

"Just because you idiots were stupid enough to try and steal from Merlin's office doesn't mean you get to blame me when you got caught." Clare defended herself.

"Last time I checked, you were with us when we were about to sneak in." I could feel the tension rising, but I didn't really care. Who doesn't like witnessing a good fight.

"Doesn't mean I agreed with the plan! Morgie barked for you anyways! We did what we were supposed to!"

"You agreed with it fine in the Black Lagoon!"

"Well I'm sorry you're too busy looking at every girl's tits to see their facial expressions, but I can assure you I didn't care for this stupid 'revenge' then either."

"Well I can see how much of a villain you really are, you're not even as bad as your sister, and all she's done is marry a king."

"And I don't see why what my sister does is my problem?"

"Because you're just like her." Hades jabbed a finger in Clare's chest, his hair ablaze. "A beauty obsessed snob whose only purpose in life is to marry rich." I glared at him. What the hell? Clare is so much more than that. She's gorgeous but in no way beauty obsessed, and any man, rich or poor, would be lucky to marry her. She is so much better than her sister ever will be. In my rage at him I didn't even realize I had stood up.

Clare stepped back, hurt and disgusted. My heart broke at the look on her face. "You fucking inbred asshole, get out of my dorm."

"Why, it's Maleficent's too, you don't get all the say of who comes and goes." Hades sneered.

"Hades, just leave." Mal said, exasperated. She followed him as he sauntered out, hopefully to tell him off.

"That dick." Clare leaned against the wall.

"Exactly, what business does he have telling you the purpose of your life? And you're a great villain." I could see a flicker of emotion pass her face and linger in her eyes. She was definitely thinking over what Hades had said, so I scrambled for a sentence that could comfort her.

"Yeah..." All the rage that she seemed to possess a few moments earlier had gone, and she deflated. I put my arm around her, rubbing her shoulder.

"He..." I felt my voice crack. What is wrong with me? Before I could find the words to make Clare feel better, Maleficent came storming into the room.

"Hook, you'd better go." I nodded, not bothering to protest.

"Bye Clare." I breathed as I closed the door of their dorm behind me.
