Chapter 22: Finally

NOVA'S POV:

    As Rikku and I walk, we talk. A lot. Talk about what happened in that weird building, talking about how the hell I survived, and him telling me about how worried the crew was about me. I smile at every word, because I thought I was dead not too long ago. I've never realized until now how nice it is to be alive.
Finally, I see it, right up ahead: The Straw Hat Pirate's ship. My home. And there, I see him, standing there on the deck: Luffy.
My heart swells up with excitement. Rikku nudges me. "Go get 'em, tiger," he says. I giggle and run to the ship, using up the rest of my energy. I hop onto the ship. Luffy hasn't noticed me yet.
He seems upset. He is just staring out into the sea. Weird for him. I slowly walk up to him, and the nerves hit me. HE IS GOING TO THINK HE IS GOING CRAZY! I mean, he literally witnessed my death.
I finally do it. I tap him on the shoulder. He turns around. His eyes widen. I was expecting him to yell, "AHHHH! A GHOST!!!!" But he doesn't. He jumps into my arms and starts sobbing. Reminds me of when he thought I died the first time, except this time is 10x better.
I wrap my arms around him. "HOLY SHIITTT!" He yells in between sobs. I just giggle as tears fall down my face. As we hug, the other crew members come out.
    Chopper immediately runs and hugs my legs. I pull away from Luffy gently and pick up Chopper, who's sobbing. Ussop then wraps his arms around me so tightly I can barely breathe. Nami joins in. Once they finally pull away, Sanji comes over and hugs me, kissing my cheek. He pulls away and Robin comes over and gently hugs me before pulling away too. Frankly and Brook both hug me at the same time, which is kind of overwhelming, since they're both so freaking TALL! Zoro comes over and hugs me, which I was certainly not expecting.
    "We're so happy you're alive, Nova," Robin says gently. I'm sobbing at this point, so it's hard to respond. "How did you even survive?" Ussop asks, also crying. "L-Long story..." I say, and I laugh between sobs.
    "Well, you'll have t-to tell us later when we're all not sobbing!" Nami says, blowing her nose into a tissue. I smile.
    And to make this moment even better, Luffy pulls me in and kisses me. I couldn't ever ask for more. Broken things take time to fix, and this crew has given me enough time to fix myself. Now everything is perfect.
