After saying this, the distant peak shimmering with golden light and the flowing waterfall gradually disappeared into darkness, and thus the last ray of light in the entire picture vanished, turning the battlefield ominous.

Zanxing looked into the distance, where not a single person could be seen. It seemed that in order to prevent the disciples from teaming up, this scroll had randomly assigned everyone to different places from the very start.

This was somewhat terrifying.

There was no sun, nor was there a moon; time seemed to be frozen at the moment before nightfall, the sky was dim, and it was a dull and eerie evening on the battlefield.

Zanxing pondered for a moment, stored away the exit talisman, and then took out another talisman from her bosom, sticking it on her chest.

In an instant, the surroundings lit up; in the deep forest, faint glimmers appeared, some bright and some dim. Some were as small as fireflies, while others were as large as carts.

Zanxing observed for a while and then headed towards the area with the small light points.

Outside the competition stage, Xuan Ling, peering into the situation in the Xumi Jiezi Scroll through the Qingxin Mirror, almost dropped his teacup, pointing at the mirror and exclaiming, "How can she have the Torch Eye Talisman?"

Cui Yufu, who was petting a cat nearby, immediately stood up and leaned forward, shouting, "Where? Where is the Torch Eye Talisman?"

The Torch Eye, also known as the Wisdom Eye, is one of the Five Eyes in Buddhism, representing the supreme wisdom that can see the past and the future. This Torch Eye Talisman was a new talisman developed by Cui Yufu; although it could not see the past and future, an ordinary person could see the flow of elemental energy nearby when they stuck this talisman on.

However, this talisman had limited use and was quite niche. Cui Yufu found it hard to include it in the sect's teaching materials, so he compiled a separate book titled "Draw Talismans Well: Fresh and Interesting Niche Talisman Techniques," which was placed in the library.

This book had been in the library for at least five years, and not a single person had borrowed it. It seemed no one had looked at it, yet now, a Torch Eye Talisman was glaringly stuck on Zanxing's chest.

"Didn't you know when she learned this talisman?" Xuan Ling said angrily, "Did you give her a hint?"

"What hint?" Cui Yufu retorted angrily, "I didn't even know the Torch Eye Talisman could be used like this!"

It was not surprising that the candidates brought various elixirs and talismans into the Xumi Jiezi Scroll. There were rules in the examination ground, and these rules would judge on their own; if the items brought would greatly impact the results, they would automatically become ineffective upon entering the exam ground, such as highly lethal talismans. Common healing elixirs and some supportive talismans were not restricted. This was also to encourage candidates to focus on their elixir and talisman classes and not to specialize too narrowly.

However, it was one thing to attend classes regularly, but nobody expected that Zanxing would actually go to the library and read Cui Yufu's niche book.

She really had a lot of leisure time.

This meant that in this examination, Zanxing would have exceptional conditions. Others might inadvertently encounter high-level demon cultivators at the beginning and be unable to fight back, leading to early disqualification. In contrast, Zanxing could determine her opponents through the elemental light points, choose the most suitable opponent for herself, and leisurely accumulate elemental energy until the end of the competition.
