1 (Scarlett's POV)

My alarm goes off and I shift in bed. I'm tired form yesterdays events. I had to plan and host my little sisters birthday party which don't get me wrong I love kids but they get on my nerves sometimes.

"Sissy I have to get ready for school hurry up" says Juniper. Juniper is 6 and is in 1st grade, she is an early bird if you couldn't tell. "Its 6 am can you go back to sleep and wake up at 6:30 or something" I say. She looks at me and starts giving me her death stare that isn't even that scary.

"Oh my gosh fine" I say. She stops staring and smiles "yayyyyy come on sissy" she says as she tries to pull me off the bed. "I can do it you know" I say getting out of bed myself without her pulling me.

"What do you want to do with your hair today" I say brushing her hair so there is no nots. "Mmm I think I want it half up" she says looking around. The thing about Juniper is that she can not stay still at all or can not concentrate. We took her to the doctor and she got diagnosed with ADHD.

I finished her hair and perfected it. "You like it Junie" I say to her waiting for an approval. "Yes thank you Scarr" she says happily. Ok do you want to walk or take the car to school. "I want to walk is that okay" she says. "Yea we can walk let's go" I say.

We were half way there when we needed to cross the street and a guy on a motorcycle was there about to take his turn to go. "Look scar you love motorcycles he's cute to" she teases. I look at her, "how do you know what he looks like he could be ugly. " The guy waves at us to pass before taking is turn.

We make it across the road already at the school. I turn around and wave at the biker as a thank you. He waves back. "Be good at school okay you know where to wait right. " I ask.  Juniper looks at me "yes I know where you've told me to stay and not to go home with strangers even if they are mom or dad. " she says. I hug her and say bye as I start walking away.

I make it to my house it is now 7 am and I have to be at school by 8:30 I'm a sophomore in high school. I make it to my room and start to get ready. I change the outfit I'm in right now and put on a pink crop top with spaghetti straps and some flared leggings. I sit at my vanity.

I turn on my TV and put on my playlist on Spotify. "Hey did you take your sister to school junie" my mom's says. "It's Scarlett and yes I took junie to school" I say. My mom's and alcoholic and when she drinks she gets aggressive I guess you can say. My dad is never around he's always out with some chick at a bar or something.

"Don't give me attitude Scarlett" she says aggressively while she slapped me. I held my cheek feeling the burning sensation begin. "Okay sorry mom" I say in a whisper. She walks out and slams the door.

I turn around to my vanity mirror and see a hand print start to form. I sigh and get my straightener out of my drawer and plug it in. I clip my hair back and get my make up. My phone starts ringing and I look at it.

Bestiee😜💗 is calling...

I answer the FaceTime. "Hey Scarlett.. Oh what happened" Luna says. I love Luna with my whole heart she is for real one of the realest friend I have. The girl couldn't even hurt a fly and she doesn't know how to say no to anyone and she has severe anxiety.

"My mom happened" I say. "Anyways are you almost ready" I say waiting for a response from her. "Oh I called you so we can get ready together" she says.

30 minutes later

I was walking to the bus stop to wait for the bus and for Luna. "Need a ride" says the guy from earlier on the motorcycle. "Um actually im good I'm waiting for my friend and we're gonna go on the bus together but thanks" I say looking at him.

I feel someone half jump on me. "What the fuck Luna you scared me" I half yell. "Oooo who's this your boyfriend" she teases. "Uhhh no I was just asking her if she wanted a ride." He said.

It got akward quickly. I looked around nervously, "so anyways look at that we have to go the bus is here bye thanks." I say hurriedly. We get on the bus and sit where we usually sit at.

"That was such a great excuse" Luna says sarcastically. "It was the best I had Luna" I say glaring at her. She looks back at me "ok you do you Scarr. " she says looking back to the front.

She seemed off today she's usually always so bubbly and happy. I was worried about her. "You okay you seem off, where's my bubbly best friend. " I say trying to get a smile out of her. "I'm okay and I'm right here I've just been so tired lately but that's because I'm sleep deprived" she said. I look at her confused "and why are you sleep deprived" I ask, "my mom and dad have been fighting non stop" she starts to tear up, "her don't cry Luna it's okay", I hug her to try to comfort her, " I'm just scared what if they seperate and I half to live with only one of them"

This is gonna be one flying fuck of a school day as a sophomore...
