Chapter 4: Danny Edwards

We ate a delicious breakfast and then went down to the beach. We found a really good place to set up. On the left end was Hope, then Kenya, Me, Mal, and then Morgan and Riley. Morgan chose the seats of course. We lay on the beach chairs enjoying the sun. Me and Mal go to the 'Fruit Hut' to get some smoothies for everyone. Peach for Hope, Blueberry- Pomegranate for Riley and Kenya, Strawberry for Morgan, and then Strawberry-Banana for Me and Mal. We were giggling and talking to each other about life after high school and our plans to have an apartment and things. We are really a romantic couple. Riley and K were looking at each other, I assume that made Morgan jealous because she ask Riley to put sunscreen on her back, so he did. I guess this made K mad so she got up and went into the water. Her shiny long legs, 6- pack, and beautiful face caught Riley's attention, because he was paying attention to K he dropped the sunscreen and it splashed all into Morgan's hair.

Morgan: "I knew something was going on between the two of you."

Riley: "What!?"

******Meanwhile****** (Kenya's P.O.V)

The water was so cold. But it felt really good because it is hot out here. I hear Morgan and Riley fighting while I am swimming.

Morgan: "So there's nothing going on between you and K!?" She yells at him, loud enough for me to hear their conversation. Riley took a short pause and what he said next crushed me.

Riley: "....Uh No." He said trying to sound convincing.

He sure did convince me and I was ready to let them have it. I was going curse them out. Then suddenly a black lab jumped up and knocked me down. She licked me in my face, my anger slightly went away when I seen who her owner was. It was Caleb.

Caleb: "Stop Roxie." The dog who I now know whose name is Roxie gets off of me and Caleb helps me up. He also helps me remove the sand from my body.

Caleb: "I see you work out!" He says as he looks me up and down.

Me: "Oh, Yeah....I love your dog." I say changing the subject. Trying to ignore the fact that he has checking me out while I'm wearing my 'OP' swimsuit set which is black swim shorts and a purple bikini top. I seen Riley and Morgan making up and I seen Roxie coming back with the ball that Caleb threw moments earlier. I quickly turn to face Caleb.

Me: "Do you want to go out tonight around seven!?"

Caleb: " Yeah... but what would your scary boyfriend think!?" He asked motioning over to Riley.

Me: "What?" I ask him surprised that he actually thinks that Riles is my boyfriend. Then Caleb points over to Riley who is watching us, I don't know where Morgan went but all I know is that she is no longer over there with Riley, Hope, and Danny I guess she went some where with Mal. Riley is listening to music and he is wearing sunglasses but you can still tell that he was looking at us.

Me: "Oh Riley! he isn't my...." I started.

Caleb: "I know Hope said he just your really close best friend." He interrupted.

Me: "Oh... did she... Ugh anyway, meet in the hotels lobby?"

Caleb: "At Seven..." He says as he nods his head at me.

Me: "Sounds like a date."

Caleb: "Yep, I'll be there."

Me: "Great." He says bye and then runs off to catch up with his dog. I walk up to the end of Riley's chair. I looked at him, hands on my hips and everything but said nothing.... nothing I took my hands off my hips and cried. The tears escape my face and I just went back to the room. Hope followed. I just cried.

Hope: "Everything is going to be okay Kenya." She said trying to make me feel better.

Me: " No it isn't ... Why should I have to wait around for my best friend who is supposedly in love with me, to brake up with his girlfriend." I say between sobs. What surprised me was who was at the door. It was Morgan, she heard everything. I didn't care I just cried and hugged Hope. Morgan said nothing she just walked over to me and gave me a hug. A Hug.

Morgan: " Go on a date... make Riles jealous, I'll talk to him tonight about me and him." She said smiling and trying to cheer me up. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, things have become crazy lately.

Hope: "That's the first time you called him Riles."

Me: " Yeah."

They left and I took a shower and put on a white tee and black basketball shorts and I went to get a makeover and I bought a new dress and sandals. I went back to my room and changed. It's seven now and the rest of the gang is in Danny's room. I put my hair up into a bun using 'Hot buns' and I let two strands of my hair dangle over my ears. The makeover was a success all the lady did was apply some make up and did my nails and helped me find a killer dress. I went into Danny's room and Riley's mouth dropped open. Morgan nodded and winked at me. They were still cuddled up on the bed. I guess them talking to each other later tonight.

Me: " I'm heading out, don't wait up." I walk out and as I did I could feel Riley's eyes on me. Caleb was standing in the lobby waiting. He was wearing blue jeans and a white button- down short sleeve shirt .

Caleb: "Wow Kenya you look.... Stunning!"

Me: " Well Thank you." I said blushing. He placed a white corsage on my wrist.

Caleb: "I know its cheesy... I shouldn't of..."

Me: "No No it's beautiful, I like it."

Caleb: "It seems I'm a bit dressed down to..." He says as he scratches the back of his neck in embarrassment.

Me: "Your okay, Come on lets go." He takes me to a restaurant in the hotel. We ate outside. We ate a delicious stake dinner and chatted a bit about non sense and he made me laugh a lot. Then Caleb brought up Riley when dinner was over while we were walking along the beach holding hands.

Caleb: "So what's the deal with your scary boy friend?" He said separating the words boy and friend. I told him about the whole story from what happening a few days ago till right now.

Me: "I'm glad I didn't scare you off by telling you my story....Your a great guy Caleb." I told him honestly.

Caleb: " Always and you are a great girl Kenya." He said smiling at me.

Me: " Look your amazing...but..." I started. I hate to say what I was going to because he is my dream guy before everything with Riley I would have loved to be with this guy.

Caleb: " But your in love with you best friend." He finishes for me. I looked at him and I gave him a kiss on the lips as a thank you. I ran off to go find Riley. I stop and turn to look at Caleb.

Me: "I've got someone for you to meet come along." I motioned him to follow me. When we're in the hotel I introduce him to Morgan and I go find Riles.
