Although the hostage-taking incident was successfully resolved under one hour, today's work was certainly not able to proceed normally.

After the police recorded her statement and took the evidence, Lisa returned to the locker room and was ready to go home.

The locker room was like a ghost town. Colleagues who had become hostages were either still giving their statements or had already been reunited with their relatives and friends. But with the exception of Lisa.

She slowly opened her locker, placed the smart contact lenses back onto her eyes, plugged the invisible smart headphones back into her ear, and secured her smartwatch back onto her left wrist.

Today's smart glasses, smart headphones, smartwatches, and other smart accessories each have a separate personal communicator and personal computer. They alone can meet the basic internet and communication needs.

However, they each had their own strengths and weaknesses. Not everything is just as described in a fairytale. This was reality, and nothing was too good to be true, or at least as good as it seems.

The benefits entailed was that both smart glasses and smart headphones are invisible and have excellent biocompatibility. People could wear them for many years without taking them off for cleaning or maintenance. It was not troublesome at all. Smart glasses can shoot and play holographic videos, and since the holographic video has a 360-degree vision without any blind spots, smart glasses can easily interact with the host through his body and eye movements.

Additionally, the "line-of-sight password" is installed in innovative technology. To make the device more desirable smart glasses can also change their own transparency at any time, acting as sunglasses to shield against the sun, night vision to have sight in the dark, and a dark sleeping eye mask for when the user is sleeping.

However, because of its many functions, its degree of harm and biocompatibility to the cornea of the eye and other parts of the eye were greatly weakened and affected.

As for the quality of the audio and surround sound of the smart headset, it is incredibly good. It could also record, block, and filter sounds. Once the user is asleep, the smart headset can turn on the sound insulation system to block any outside noise. This feature could be utilized in any noisy environment. The filter system can either attenuate or completely filter out all of the noise, depending on the desired sound or outcome of the user.

But of course, due to the issues with acquiring the perfect and sustainable volume for the external ear canal's biocompatibility, some of the futuristic headset functions have been either deteriorated or even completely canceled.

The smartwatch is larger and more cumbersome compared to the other gadgets and accessories. It has a powerful storage capacity, high and fast computing capabilities, and signal to receive and sending abilities. It's packed with a small holographic device that can project a holographic projection screen with a virtual keyboard that depicts a personal computer. Its convenience makes communication and gathering information faster than ever. When one fancied large-scaled online games, wanted to download a lot of films and television dramas, or use a professional-like computer, a smartwatch was essential and the one device best to use. The most important and enchanting part of the smartwatch is its smart core. The core is equivalent to a personal assistant minus its physical body. It could help the owner to handle data, plan, and do many things.

Due to the distinct yet highly efficient and beneficial functions of these innovative devices, people now generally use these three electronic products altogether.

After wearing the glasses, a flashing pattern in the upper left corner of her HUD or the Heads up display reminded Lisa that there were many video messages to attend to. She opened her eyes once applying the device and saw that the first two messages came from Lee Sang-yi and Jiwon, and the others were from colleagues and workgroups who suffered today.

Sang-yi was a student of her adoptive mother who she called and treated as her brother. Maybe the only family she considers now. After Dr. Kim Hae-sook retired, it was Lee Sang-yi who kept an eye on her condition. But when her adoptive mother died, Sang-yi took responsibility and care of her.

Kim Jiwon's mother, Kim Seon Hwa, was a longtime friend of Dr. Kim Hae-sook. After Lisa was adopted, she inevitably met Kim Jiwon. Jiwon was three years older than Lisa, yet she sympathizes with Lisa's past experience. She had always taken care of her, and over the years, the two have grown to be best friends.

Jiwon studied law and is now currently a public prosecutor affiliated with the Seoul Municipal Social Affairs Bureau. This sector specializes in lawsuits such as custody of children and maintenance over irresponsible parents who abuse children.

Lisa first watched the video message of Sang-yi and then Jiwon.

She watched Sang-yi in the hospital, wearing a white coat as he said, "I'm at work, and I can't leave yet. When you're done there, come here, and I will give you a thorough checkup. After that, we can have lunch together. A colleague of mine discovered this new shop, and he said the food there is to die for. I even already pre-ordered their luxurious meal. Do you want to try it with me? "

Lisa grinned and wasted no time to immediately respond to the video, "I'm here now. Oppa, you are too kind to me! You spoil me too much."

The next video message showed Kim Jiwon, in her lawyer's robe, standing in the corridor just outside the courtroom.

"I thought that my job was prone to have people after me to take revenge. I didn't expect you to get the feeling of being hijacked. I was in court this morning, trying to make the bastard pay the price for his wife and child. How about we eat together at noon? Or at night? "
