Today was a busy day at the office. There was a lot of activity. The phone never stopped ringing, and colleagues were rushing back and forth in the office. By evening, when the sun stopped burning so hard, everyone finally relaxed and began to go home. The office was empty again, falling into silence.
Warut laid his head down on his hands folded on the desk, closing his eyes, and groaned tiredly. It seemed his strength was over for the day. He was seriously considering not going anywhere, but falling on the sofa in his office and spending the night in here. But then Boun showed up at the door.
- Get up! We have to go to the airport, - he said.
- What?
Prem raised his head and looked at the blond man with a confused look. He didn't remember ever having to go anywhere after work, much less to the airport.
- Did I miss something? Why do we have to go to the airport?
- You're working too hard. We have a business meeting with a client in another city. We need to fly out to discuss some options.
- But Melanie didn't tell me anything.
The man strained his brain trying to remember anything, but his mind was blank. Maybe he really was working too hard. Warut had had three cups of coffee today to function normally. And was sure he had handled all the business of the day, dealing with all the necessary issues.
- She reminded me. And I told you about it. But apparently you forgot, - the blond lied.
- Shit! What about the tickets and everything?
- You don't have to worry about that. I've already got everything ready. All you have to do is get on the plane and get there.
- What about my things? I didn't bring anything.
- I've arranged that too. I packed suitcases for us and brought them to the office. I saw how busy you were, so I decided to do it myself.
He brought two small suitcases, his own and Warut's, into the office, showing them to the boss. He looked at them with surprise.
- Okay. Let's go then, - he said in a doomed voice.
When they were in the cab, the blond man looked sympathetically in his direction.
- You can get some sleep. I can see you're tired. I'll do it all by myself, - Boun said confidently.
Warut smiled gratefully and closed his eyes, resting his head on the seat. It took him less than five minutes to fall asleep.
He only woke up a couple times during the entire trip to get from the cab to the airport building and then climb the gangway to the aircraft. Once down in his seat on the airplane, Warut fell back into sleep.
The man finally woke up in the cab as they were pulling up to the hotel where they planned to stay. He had gotten a good sleep and felt more awake. It was already dark outside. The cab pulled up to a small scenic area. The sign "Silavadee Resort" was illuminated at the entrance. Prem looked at it thoughtfully. A business meeting at a resort hotel? Or was he misunderstanding something again?
After getting their keys, both of them headed to the room. Walking inside, Prem stopped in the middle of the room, stunned. The room looked more like a separate luxury apartment. The huge king-size bed was framed by a white curtain, creating a feeling of luxury and lightness. The white sheets were lined with red rose petals and a heart.
Panoramic doors led out onto a cozy terrace with a large pool that seemed to merge on the horizon with the ocean view. Elegant garden lights were displayed around the pool, illuminating the pathway to it. The lights reflected in the water, swaying in the wind. There was a magical atmosphere all around. The terrace also had a seating area with wicker chairs and a table, a soft couch, and lots of greenery, creating the feeling of a tropical garden. Warut looked at the blond man with surprised eyes.
