Here's Chapter 1:
*Chapter 1: The Morning Madness*
Kiara Sharma woke up to her mom's dreaded words:
"Utho, beta! School nahi jaana hai!" (Wake up, child! You have school!)
I groggily opened my eyes, only to find my mom hovering over me, holding a steaming cup of chai.
"Nahin, Mummy! Five more minutes!" (No, Mom! Five more minutes!)
Her mom chuckled. "Five minutes? Tu toh already late ho gayi!" (You're already late!)
I sprang out of bed, almost tripping over my cat, Muffin.
Rhea Arora's voice echoed through the phone. "Ki! Wake up! We have math homework!"
I rubbed my sleepy eyes. "Rhea, main toh abhi uthi!" (Rhea, I just woke up!)
Rhea laughed. "Bas, get ready! Meet me at the gate!" (Just get ready! Meet me at the gate!)
I scrambled to get dressed, My hair looking like a bird's nest.
As I rushed downstairs, my mom handed me a paratha and a kiss.
"Khao, beta! Aur dhyan rakhna!" (Eat, child! And take care!)
I grinned, stuffing the paratha into my bag.
Morning madness had begun!
I rushed to meet Rhea at the school gate.
Rhea eyed my hair. "Ki, what happened? You look like you stuck your finger in a socket!"
I laughed. "Morning madness, yaar! Mummy didn't give me time to brush!"
Then we went to thier class
Our teacher, Mrs. Kumar, began the math lesson.
I scribbled notes, trying to make sense of equations.
Rhea passed me a note:
"Meet me at the canteen. Emergency gossip!"
My eyes widened.
What's the gossip?
I rushed to meet Rhea at the canteen.
Rhea grasped my arm, her eyes sparkling. "Guess what? Naman Mehta is back from London!"
I raised an eyebrow. "So?"
Rhea leaned in. "He's changed, Ki! He's hotter than ever!"
I rolled my eyes. "Rhea, focus! What about math homework?"
Rhea winked. "Homework can wait. Naman's comeback is priority!"
I walked down the school hallway, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a charming smile blocked my path.
"Naman," I said, trying to hide my annoyance.
"Kiara, you look lovely today," Naman said, his eyes roaming.
I rolled my eyes. "Save the flattery, Naman."
His persistence grated on me.
Rhea appeared, saving me from his charm offensive.
"Hey, Ki! Let's grab lunch," she said.
I smiled, grateful. "Perfect timing."
As we walked away, Naman called out, "Kiara, wait!"
I ignored him, quickening my pace.
Rhea raised an eyebrow. "You okay?"
"Yeah, just Naman being...Naman," I replied.
Rhea chuckled. "You're not buying what he's selling, huh?"
I shook my head. "Nope."
We settled into our favorite lunch spot, gossiping about school.
