Thanks to the intimidating presence of several military sorcerers, it felt as though they might as well not be there at all.

“(What’s with court mages who are almost the same size as soldiers?)” thought the potion witch, who was probably sharing this sentiment with the other students and a few of the sorcerers. Typically, court mages were either overly absorbed in their research and a bit on the frail side, or they were well-fed nobles with a bit of magic, having landed their positions through connections.

During introductions, the mages smiled warmly and greeted everyone with a calm, courteous demeanor, which left the potion witch feeling rather taken aback.

The lesson began with explanations and introductions of the visiting mages, but soon settled into its usual rhythm.

“Hey, Teacher, isn’t this wrong?”
“Um, Teacher, what should we do in this case?”

The first student’s haughty attitude, the second's earnest questioning, and the third’s silent attentiveness were all familiar sights. However, there were whispers in the air:
‘Why is that commoner acting so arrogantly toward the teacher?’
‘That one is asking way too many questions, it’s irritating.’

“(They really look like they’re thinking that, don’t they?)” The newcomers’ experiences reminded her of the first day of school for the students, who had adjusted within a week. But what about the visiting mages? How would they adapt?
“(Well, basically, the observers shouldn’t interfere with the academy students, so it seems there’s no problem.)” This was likely assured by a contract to guarantee the students' safety. “(Something like ‘In exchange for allowing inspections, ensure the students’ safety and prevent information leaks,’ maybe?)” I pondered to myself.

Resting my chin on my hand, I glanced at my fiancé, the magician. His face was shrouded in the shadow of his hood, making it difficult to discern his features. I imagined he still wore the gentle smile from our introduction. As long as he was at the academy, I suspected that smile would remain.

---

“Ahem, as you can see, this is how it works.”

Several days later, the magician had smoothly integrated into the academy.

“I see, thank you!”

Surrounded by a group of students, he was explaining something in a class in the Sky building. I noticed two familiar faces in the crowd, but the first one was absent. Shouldn’t the first student, the one from the magic course, be here?

It wasn’t class time; it was lunch break. The potion witch was searching for a place to eat with her homemade herbal lunchbox. While her friends headed to the cafeteria, she preferred to eat elsewhere. In other words, it looked like she would be dining alone.
The inspectors, or "wizards of inspection," seem to make their rounds daily, but this particular male wizard visits just two consecutive days a week, shifting his schedule each week.

“(He’s probably here to observe all the academy students),” thought the potion master, somewhat musing.

Occasionally, there are inspectors who engage directly with the students, acting like teachers or joining in the fun, just like this male wizard.

On the way to her destination, the potion master caught a glimpse of her fiancé's extracurricular class and observed quietly.

"So, what happens at this point?" one student asked.

"Well… in this case…" the fiancé replied.

“(His expression isn’t stern at all, and he’s so relaxed,)” she noted, puzzled by the contrast to their first meeting. What was with that initial attitude?
