Hello, PLEASE READ THIS

This chapter starts off with a trigger warning, if you don't feel comfortable reading, then don't!! It's an important detail but will occur pretty often, so you'll get the hang of it.

"You are a whore! No one wants you here! Kiara already has it bad and you just make it worse for her!"

I stormed into my room, slammed the door shut and searched for my headphones. I put them on and listened to some music to make the screaming of my mom and dad fighting go away. I opened my desk drawer and pulled out scissors and a pencil sharpener. I took the scissors blade to screw up the screw so I could take out the sharp blade from the sharpener. I held it steady in my hand and dragged it across my exposed wrist. I bit my lip through the pain and watched as blood seeped out from the new wound. I lifted my hand and sliced again, one, two, three, four new wounds were made and were bleeding. I felt my warm tears fall down onto my arm, mixing with the cold, red, blood. Drops of scarlet red blood fell down on the floor and I put a towel on the wounds to put pressure. Once the bleeding had stopped I put on band-aids on every open wound I had just made. Cleaning the floor, the towel, the blades. Done. Bed time, dreaming, drifting, hoping to never wake up again..

NEXT DAY

"Hi girl" Melissa came up to me by my locker. "Hey." I spoke without emotion. I could tell she noticed my weird state, it wasn't uncommon for me to be this off and cold. Every single soul at this school knew how my parents would fight with each other. They had seen it. At school graduations, at meetings, class trips and everything where parents were allowed to come. People just didn't know about my mental state. "So. There's a valentines day party on the weekend if you wanna join me and Serena." Melissa brushed my state off. "Uhh, no thank you. Valentines is lame" I said honestly. "No it's not!" She spat back at me. "You can give it a chance." I heard a voice from behind me say. I looked around and saw her. The flawless new teacher with her red, wavy hair and her emerald green eyes. "Wha- when did you, how did you?" I couldn't form a sentence as I got lost in her eyes. I was about to say something when she spoke. "Anyways, Kiara, I have booked a meeting in your calendar for next week. I need to have a chat with you." She said. I wondered what about, she isn't even my teacher, yet. She works with the seniors and I'm a junior. "Um, okay?" I said, confused. "Okay, great. Bye Miss Wayne, bye Kiara. And dear, go to that party, you won't regret it." She said and walked away. "Why did she call you by your first name?" Melissa asked the second Miss Romanoff had walked away. "I didn't even know she knew it." I shrugged it off. "Sooo?" Melissa smirked. "Ughh. Fine, I'll go with you and Serena to the party." I said. "Score!" She shouted. This was one of the very few times she got me to come with. I didn't like parties that much. With everyone being drunk, high and totally wasted, I always felt uncomfortable. "Time and place?" I asked. But I didn't have anything better to do and I didn't want to be home this time, but a party, on valentines, without a valentine?! Shoot me. "It's at the Avengers tower!! Peter is hosting!" She squealed. "I guess it sounds interesting but I don't have a valentine." I complained. "I know, that's why I set you up with someone." She smirked. "Excuse me? What did you say?" This day is getting so much worse than I was expecting it to be. "I'm sorry Kiara, but I just knew that you wouldn't come when you realized that you didn't have a date. And Kie, I really need you to be there with me. I think It's good for you to let a little loose too and forget about... Everything." She smiled sadly. "Yeah.. Uhm.. Who is it?" I asked. I did want to go for Melissa and partly for myself, but with a date that I probably won't know? That's going to be so weird. "Alright, we need to get to class." Melissa said as we heard the bell ring. "But Melissa! Who is it?!" I asked as I tried catching up to her. "You'll see." Was all she said before walking faster so we wouldn't get late.
