Quick Writer's Note!

Hey everyone! Here's a quick note that will be useful to remember for the rest of the book!

If you ever see three dots in the middle of the screen, like this:

...

It means that the scene changed and other characters are present. This is to erase confusion when it suddenly starts describing another room. (After all, not all characters are staying in the same room at once.)

If you ever find a closed rectangle of underscores with words inside, like this:

________________________________________________________________________________

It means a character is currently in a private confessional!

Private confessionals are a way for the character to speak to the reader without other characters hearing (unless with very specific cases). It's a place where the contestants can share their biggest secrets, grievances or a funny joke or two!

They are optional to the story, for the most part. But they are, most definitely, the best parts of writing these chapters! Most of these wont have detailed descriptions, since they're all in an enclosed room, they're mostly just for little gags!

Anyways, hope you enjoy the chapter!
Matt, signing in!

The Host ties his bowtie firmly and warms up his voice, briefly sighing and then quickly grabbing a microphone.

- "Hello there, everyone." - He greeted, looking around at the room filled with confused and startled faces.

Stage lights filled the room, shining on the contestants' faces and forcing them to squint their eyes. The ones who were on the stage slowly backed away and stepped off, frightened. Carla and Anthony got the cue a little later than they should have, but they eventually stepped away. The Host waved as his welcoming, but ever-so-slightly eerie smile stared down the group.

- "W-Who are you?" - Gabriel questioned, dismayed.

- "Stand back!" - Patrick stepped forward, threatened.

- "Woah, woah. I'm not a threat, everybody." - Arcu gestured his neutrality by putting his left hand in the air.

- "Yet, I bet you were the one who brought us here." - Richard cut in.

- "Right! Why are we here?!" - Olivia yelled, demanding an explanation. Some others joined her shouting at the host.

- "Calm down, everyone. I'm here to explain everything." - The Host announced, making everyone fall silent. - "Yes, I did bring you here-"

- "Great, so that means you can let us out." - Samantha interrupted. - "So do it, before I call my lawyers." - Samantha rudely intercepted.

- "Try it." - Arcu chuckled. - "It's not like you have a phone to call them with."

- "What!?" - Samantha felt around her pockets. - "Oh, you Bitch! Let me at him!" - Samantha tried to jump up the stage, being blocked by Alice and grabbed by Elijah.
