Gene Gallagher was a fucking cunt.
That much was clear in Elodie's mind, she had nothing against Stella Jones, she'd gotten drunk with the girl on several occasions, but the fact that she was the face of an album all about Elodie ans looked nothing like her hurt.
Elodie had always known she wasn't most men's expectation for a woman, she thought she had accepted it long ago, but seeing Gene use someone else, someone who fit the standard so well, in a music video she surmised was probably going to be a re-enactment of memories between Gene and Elodie hurt. It stung, it was like he was rubbing salt in her wound.
She got up off her bed and walked into the communal kitchen. Callum was sat on the top of the table, Anaïs gently braiding his hair as his head hung over the back of the chair.
"I want to kill him." Elodie announced as she opened the cupboard and found her favourite mug, it was a charlie and Lola themed mug she had gotten off of Etsy years ago.
"What's he done?" Callum asked, looking up at Elodie. "Used Stella fucking Jones in a music video I know is about me." Elodie replied angrily, Callum couldn't really understand her upset, but Anaïs gave her a sympathetic look.
"What's he insecure about?" Elodie wondered aloud. Callum gave her a sheepish look. "Doing that's only going to provoke him into retaliating, the last thing you need is a twitter argument with him El" Callum lectured, almost paternally.
Elodie sighed. "Fine."
