The vaping and smoking trends among K-pop stars have indeed sparked a lot of discussions. Celebrities from Hollywood, Bollywood, and other entertainment industries are often seen vaping, and it's becoming quite common.

However, in the K-pop industry, this trend has become a hot topic.

Recently, stars like Jungkook, Taehyung and now Jennie,

Suga, and RM

Were spotted vaping /smoking.

They all have suffered significant backlash. The reactions have been mixed, with both positive and negative responses. Some fans defend them, saying they are adults and can make their own choices, while others criticize their actions as inappropriate.

Regarding vaping versus smoking, studies suggest that while vaping might be less harmful than smoking traditional cigarettes, it is not without risks. Vaping still involves inhaling harmful chemicals, and its long-term health effects are not fully understood. Therefore, neither option is considered safe.

It's important to remember that public figures are under constant scrutiny, and their actions can influence many people. While they are adults and can make their own choices, the impact of those choices on their fans and the public is significant.

Nicotine, a chemical found in cigarettes, quickly enters the bloodstream and increases the production of dopamine, a hormone responsible for feelings of euphoria. However, nicotine is highly addictive and harmful.

While adults have the right to make their own choices, it's important to remember that many minors, especially those aged 13-17, are influenced by their idols. Seeing their idols do such things might also tempt them to do it once in a lifetime ...just for fun ..also it's only once right what harm could it cause?

They would eventually try it, once they become legal to. (or even as a minor)

I mean after seeing JK do that, I was down to try it too!

It's possible that idols are aware of their limits and can manage themselves to avoid addiction. Ideally, they wouldn't get addicted at all. They also have a strong support system, including fellow band members and colleagues, who can offer guidance and help them stay on track.

But what if these youngsters try it and somehow fall into their trap and are addicted to it? We live in a world in which out of 10 people 8 are lonely, unhappy and hate their lives. They do want an alternative ... these alternatives could be drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes?

Sure it could.

They fill the criteria...makes you happy, help you run away from your problems, takes your mind off things, you don't need anyone else and they'll be your best friend .... for life. Do you want them to be with you, your entire life?

So the addiction can be very harmful and how does it all start?
You just wanted to try it once, just wanted to be like your idol; for once.

A solution to this:

I am not criticizing them(kpop idols) cause I'm sure many are already doing it

I just want them to be mindful of such things and keep their viewers in mind. If they do, it will help prevent these issues from spreading all over the internet. I understand that they aren't showing these things intentionally; sometimes things just leak, and that's okay.

But they should reach out to their young audience and assure them that these things aren't right. That's what a true idol would do—someone who genuinely cares for their audience. I'm sure they have the resources to do so.

It must have been tough to see that picture(of RM smoking), especially since RM always emphasized the importance of not smoking. Understandably, many ARMYs felt heartbroken.

Sometimes, people we look up to can make mistakes, and it can be disappointing.
