Elizabeth Jones one of their best undercover agents was sent all the way down to Mexico. A very dangerous investigation thrown at her hands. She was putting her damn life on the line. A investigation to simply take down a dangerous man that fled America to hide down in Mexico from his crimes not wanting to deal with the punishments.
Coward. She was ready to be undercover. That was until she learnt that she'd be undercover as an exotic dancer. This was when she wanted to give the investigation case to someone else only there were no damn takers, so she ended up flying down to Mexico with only two back up members (they'd hardly do any help.) The investigation was supposed to be in and out, but it became complicated as they had to wait for orders from their damn boss. A week of undercover investigation went into months.
The longer she remained posing as a exotic dancer. The more photos and videos of her were on the dark web from her target that she wasn't aware of. (Her team was very much aware!)
Elizabeth very oblivious from that situation including when she began gaining attention from a handsome man. Armando Aretas noticed her a few times at the club when he wasn't busy with his duties, and needed a few drinks. He never bothered making any type of conversation with her until she sat down at the bar beside him.
This sparked up a friendship between involving sex. Lots of sex. He wasn't naive as he knew that the woman he was sleeping with is in the law enforcement. Just not here for him, but for another man. Perhaps, it was his very so complicated feelings for her that made him do what he done, or more so, he was so disgusted that the man had photos and videos of her on the dark web.
Either way it was done. Elizabeth received a call from the police enforcement in Mexico that her target was found dead in his apartment with lots of images of her found in his computer. (She was his next target.)
She spent hours closing in on her undercover investigation. Not before promising the guy that she met down in Mexico that she'd never lose contact with him, as he promised to never lose contact with her.
Three years. Elizabeth Jones isn't even aware that the man that she has built up a life with is harboring quite the secret. Not until she see's it with her very own eyes.
