Its nighttime.
The heavy rain drops to the ground, making a drizzling sound reach your ears. It matched perfectly the drizzling tears rolling down your cheeks. It was almost as if the sky felt your pain and cried with you... Water from the road splashed to the sidewalk as cars drive by in a big of a speed. Splashing to where a little girl walked with slow shaking steps, as if she had just been born and tried to take her very first steps into this strange world.
The little girl, knew what was coming closer by each step...
Because the girl this story is written about, is not as happy as she might seem to be to others... Rather, she is burning from the inside...
"Why me"
The only thing which came out your mouth. The little girls mouth.

Standing outside the large smoke-filled building, you took deep breathes and dried your rolling tears from the sleeves of your hoodie. People where walking inside the building, laughing and smiling. Couples were holding hands, a group of girls peeped their lungs out as they saw a cute boy walking inside. While all the boys standing outside the building where either smoking their lungs grey or hitting on other girls.
"What a weird world"
'It indeed is'
You raised your head with a sigh, and studied the big shiny sign filled with glowing led lights.
'Semoran Bar' it read in shining purple. Owned by a man in his 30's whose name is Alejandro Semoran.
The Semoran Bar is where the little girl worked for a living. She hated it but had no other option. Backing down or to look weak was no option for her to choose. You see, dear reader... This little girl, Angelica Rowan, had a dream. A dream to become something big in the future. Someone who's work live longer than the owner. But lack of money and education made it impossible.
Because her dream, was to work at the famous 'Harlow Entertainment'. You may wonder "How does that place fulfil her dreams?"
Well... sometimes your work, your plans and dreams may not the world always need to know about. Somethings is better to keep for themselves, or only to tell your close ones. Being big does not mean to be known worldwide. Keep that in mind...
"ANGELICA!!"
You shot your head towards the screaming voice. Your eyes hit a jumping girl, coming towards you with a big warm smile on her lips. It was your best friend, Thea Alexandra. You two had been friends from childhood. Always clung to each other, always made each other laugh at stupid things, always stood up for each other.
You smiled back as she jumped in your embrace, giving you a warm close hug. You closed your arms around her back giving her a little loving pat while you both laughed at the weird looking situation.
"I've missed you so much Angelica!" she spat out while giggling.
"We literally met yesterday!" you giggled back at her, pulling out from the hug.
"I know!! It's been far too long!" she said pouting her lips making her look even more cute than before.
You looked at your cute little friend while smiling and giggling with her as you both held hands. She always knew how to make you smile. Some things in this world are worth living for. You looked up at the bar once more while your smile slowly faded, which didn't go unnoticed by Thea. She looked up at the bar too, listening to the loud banging music, all the drunk people screaming and singing to the lyrics. Now both of you stood there all silent, just looking at your own prison. Thea sighed before looking up at you, faking a smile before humming with her sweet angelic voice which sound so good in your ears, always making you feel relaxed.
"Shall we" she said taking a step towards the entrance door, reaching her hand out for you to hold it.
You responded with a strong nod, holding tight to her small hand as you both took patient steps towards the bar.
Your nostrils got hit by the stinging smell of sweat and alcohol. Not to mention the non-breathable smoke-filled air. Indeed, the worst part about the job, the disgusting smell. By just taking a step inside made you want to puke all over the floor. But by that you may get fired, which would lead to a pair of angry parents at home.
You both entered the employees changing room and got into the most uncomfortable miniskirts and body tight shirts. You tried to drag your skirt further down your legs, since walking around in a bar with this pathetic piece of clothing, filled with drunk men didn't make the job any easier. Managing to pull it a little bit down to your thighs, you thought that might be good enough. Shrugging your shoulders, you took on your name tag and pinned it onto your shirt which had the two upper buttons open, showing off your chest but not too much.
"Sigh... why do we have to wear these short, tight, stupid clothes?!" you annoyingly said under your voice, but Thea managed to hear your annoyed words and chuckled showing off her tiny dimples on her cheeks. She turned towards you, positioning herself straight as a line before clearing her throat to get your attention. When you turned towards her with a confused expression, she smiled while squinting her eyes.
"To fill the boys' empty hearts my queen" she said with an accent, while bowing down like a handsome king would do to his queen. You chuckled by her silly behaviour before joining the play.
"Yes, indeed my dear king! May I have the chance to take you to the ball this evening?" you asked. Thea nodded before you both joined hands, starting to dance a weird little ball room dance. Swinging your body around in circles at the floor while humming to a non-exciting song.
After minutes of dancing, laughing and lighting up the tension in each other's thoughts, you both walked out the changing room. You waved at your friend as goodbye since you didn't have the same shift together. She waved back at you with a warm smile before both of you walked towards your duties. As for you, it was to make and serve drink to those who had money to spend.
