AS THE ARK CRUISED AMONG THE CHAOS that once was Asgard, Thor stood in the Captain's Quarters, looking at his reflection in a mirror. His wounds are bandages, including his now missing eye. His armor was clean.
He took a moment staring at himself, as though trying to get used to the sight of the man looking back at him.
"It suits you..."
Thor glanced back to find Loki standing behind him with a smile.
"Perhaps you're not so bad after all, Brother," Thor said.
"Maybe not," said Loki.
"Thank you, Loki," Thor said before he picked up a soap dish. "And if you were here, I might even give you a hug."
He threw the dish at Loki, and with a smirk, Loki caught it.
Thor slowly stared surprised as Loki rose a eyebrow.
"Do we have to hug now?" he asked.
Thor grinned.

At the same time, Kaarina was being led to her own quarters on the Ark. The corridors were bustling with Asgardians and Sakaarians, each trying to find a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos that had befallen their home.
A kind-faced Asgardian woman guided Kaarina through the ship, her voice gentle and reassuring. "This way, Your Majesty. Your quarters are just down this hall."
Kaarina followed, her mind still reeling from the events of the past hours. The loss of her family, the destruction of Asgard, and the uncertainty of their future weighed heavily on her. She barely noticed the other Asgardians around her, their faces a mix of relief and sorrow.
They reached a door, and the woman opened it, revealing a small but comfortable room. "Here you are," she said with a warm smile. "It's not much, but it's a place to rest."
Rest, Kaarina thought. Rest wasn't something Kaarina had in the past four hundred years. But alas, she stepped inside, her eyes scanning the room. There was a bed with clean linens, a small table, and a chair. It was simple, but it felt like a sanctuary after everything she had been through.
"Thank you," Kaarina said softly, her voice tinged with exhaustion.
The woman nodded. "If you need anything, just let me know."
Kaarina managed a small smile. "I will. Thank you."
As the door closed behind her, Kaarina took a deep breath and walked over to the bed. She sat down, her body feeling heavy with fatigue. She laid back, staring up at the ceiling, her mind racing with thoughts of her family and the uncertain future ahead.
For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she allowed herself to close her eyes and rest, knowing that she was safe, at least for now.
However, there was a soft knock at the door, pulling Kaarina from the edge of sleep. She sighed, her exhaustion weighing heavily on her, but she managed to call out, "Come in."
The door creaked open, and a familiar figure stepped inside. Lidianna strolled in, her presence brought a mix of comfort and surprise to Kaarina's weary heart.
"Lidi," she smiled.
"Mother," Lidianna said softly as she approached the bed. "How are you feeling? I know everything has been... a lot..."
Kaarina sat up, her fatigue momentarily forgotten. "I will get through this, love," she said as Lidianna dropped down on the bed with her. The mother smiled at her daughter who had such a worried look on her. "Everything will be fine."
