                                                   Setting: A bustling coffee shop.

The next morning, the chaotic energy of the fashion show still lingered in Melissa's mind, an intoxicating blend of excitement and anxiety. She had tossed and turned all night, her thoughts swirling around Andrew and his ex, the tension from the show clinging to her like a second skin. The warm rays of the sun streamed through the window of the café, but it did little to brighten her mood.

As she settled into a cozy corner of the coffee shop, Melissa glanced at her reflection in the window. She smoothed down her hair, attempting to shake off the residual nerves. Today was a new day, and she needed to focus on her goals—her dreams of launching her own fashion line felt closer than ever, but now she needed to navigate this complicated new relationship with Andrew.

She ordered a caramel latte, savoring the rich aroma as it was placed in front of her. Taking a sip, she felt the warmth spread through her, a small comfort in the midst of her swirling thoughts. With her notebook open, she began jotting down ideas for her upcoming collection. The patterns and colors danced in her mind as she sketched, a necessary distraction.

A couple of tables away, a group of fashion enthusiasts discussed last night's show animatedly. Melissa's ears perked up as they mentioned Andrew's name, her heart fluttering.

"Did you see how stunning the collection was? And that guy—Andrew Solomon—talk about a presence!" one of them exclaimed, their excitement palpable.

Melissa's grip on her pen tightened as she leaned in, intrigued.

"I heard he's back with his ex," another chimed in, her tone tinged with envy. "She's got a reputation, you know. It's only a matter of time before they're back together."

The words hit Melissa like a cold splash of water. Back with his ex? She had been so caught up in the whirlwind of the fashion show that she hadn't considered how Andrew might feel about their past. A wave of insecurity washed over her. What did she really know about him?

Just as her thoughts spiraled, the café door swung open with a soft chime, and in walked Andrew, his tall figure commanding attention as he strode toward the counter. Melissa's breath caught in her throat, and she instinctively tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, trying to appear nonchalant.

He ordered his coffee with effortless charm, exchanging pleasantries with the barista, but Melissa noticed the slight furrow in his brow, a hint of something weighing on him. She felt an urge to reach out, to break through the wall that seemed to rise between them, but hesitation gripped her.

As Andrew turned, their eyes locked, and for a moment, the world around them faded. The noise of the café, the chatter of patrons—it all blurred into the background as she felt the pull between them.
