"I don't happen to love you anymore, Baby"
Were my ears in a desperate need of hearing aids? All those pairs of 24 eyes were on this girl from the Journalism college whose boyfriend just broke up with her in a room consisting of 13 people. Damn? He definitely needed to be raised better. Well, I didn't know the girl personally but could already read the regret on her emotionless face while she sat there, blankly. Was she angry? Sad? About to kill Vraj? We'd never know. Vraj- the guy who broke up with her was rumoured to be dating another girl.

The realisation of it made me nothing but grateful towards Mellissa. She's all I'd ever want my partner to be. Being with her was like being subscribed to a lifetime premium of warmest cuddles, endless love and unconditional promises. The old school heart of mine, loved her all it could, in the modern era of us.

They say, heart is just an organ pumping blood. If so, then what happened to my heartbeats when she'd jump onto me each time I opened my arms for her? Why would I hear the thud of my own heart when she slept next to me, with her puppy eyes closed- the only time I wasn't attacked by her irresistible gaze. Each time she blinked, the lift of her lashes made me want to grab her neck, hold her waist, clasp her lips between mine so bad that her lashes shut close. I may fall in the ocean of her sapphire eyes, but those lashes always challanged me for such adventures.

Damn, I missed her. The weather, the rain, my lady and I would have looked perfect dancing in our garden like one of those "Love story" song reels on the social media.

The roar of clouds intensified. I wondered what Melli would be doing and thought of ringing her a call. She was a law student. Being a student from another country was no child's play. It required tons and killos of mental strength, aced financial skills and plethora of motivation just to sleep at night instead of scrolling so that you could catch up with the day.

Was it the same for the Journalism girl? Wait, wha-
The uncalled popping up of thought about that girl surprised me to myself. I wondered what she would be feeling, how she would face and cope up with the witness of end to something 3 year old. I didn't know her personally, but what I did know about her from my acquaintances what that she was just like any of us, a student from India, managing her life in abroad to have a flourishing career. May god bless her with all the grace, and her ex with some brain- I thought. She didn't deserve it, afterall.

*An hour later*
"Aviiiii!"
"Avi wake up!! Come on babe!!"

The honey of Mellissa's voice slid down my ears.
