Donning the customized golden gown that is sleeveless and lace gloves on her hands, half-up bun hairstyles with glittery makeup look, Jisoo stares at the reflection of herself on the long mirror before her.

Today is the engagement day. The first ever milestone for their plan to make it official and legitimate. By this party, Taehyung has already become the sole heir of Kim Family and will be exempted from his family's continuous arranged marriages.

She brushes her hands on the cherished golden gown as she started to feel anxious about today event. Not only her name will be remembered as Taehyung's fiancée, it will become notorious in the future. She will be known as his ex girlfriend when Jennie returned and took her place back.

Risking her dignity and reputation for the sake of depts and her brother, Jisoo feels the immense amount of loneliness and pity for herself. No matter what, she has to do this. She has already chosen this path and there is no way out.

She casts a glance at the necklace that probably had left by Taehyung. It is a surprise present as an esteem for her and she smiles gently to be respected by Taehyung like that. She still wonders how could Jennie leave a man like him.

She runs her fingers over the priceless jewellery and sighs deeply. The weight of acting as a fiancée of the prestigious heir is not light at all.

Descending from the stairs as the brim of her golden gown grazes them on its wake, Jisoo skims her gloved hand on the rail carefully to not slip and trip. She feels her heart pounding against her chest like a drum as all eyes from the downstairs land on her at once.

She inhales deeply and is glad to spot Taehyung waiting for her by the end of the stairs. She cannot ignore the look of fondness and admiration running in his orbs as his lips curl into a delicate smile.

He has his arm already stretched out for her to hook around. She does what is needed to do and wraps her hand around his elbow.

"Let's go." He whispers and escorts her further to the party where everyone is watching them, mostly her, and towards his family.

She pulls a smile to greet the guests who throw curious stares at her, scrutinizing her from her head to toe. So this is the fiancée of the heir Kim Taehyung. The lucky girl who caught his heart and luxury. Majority of girls around her age are giving her side eyes and mutters.

Jisoo does not show any sign of concern for what they feel and think about her whatever they see her as, she does not care. At the end of the day, she is a girl on a mission and as long as she can impress Taehyung's family, she is good. That's her only goal.

"Are you nervous?"

She tenses when he presses his lips against her hair. "No." She responds lightly. "Just wishing nothing bad happens till the party successfully ends."

Looking around the enormous gathering, Taehyung stops walking and turns to her. She is a bit startled. He cups her face like a gentleman he is and offers her a reassuring smile. "Nothing bad is going to happen. We're doing pretty well for almost two months and I won't let anyone or anything to ruin it. Okay?"

Jisoo hopes that is true and nods. "Okay."

"Now let's go to our family."

"Jisooya, you look very lovely, dear." Grandma praises her, beaming fondly at her look. "You two are made for each others. Isn't that right, Sohee?"

Sohee looks at her and touches her cheek motherly. "Indeed."

Jisoo knows for a fact that she is being sarcastic and doesn't mean anything she is doing at all. And the suspiciously wide grin on her face gets Jisoo to ponder heedfully. Why is she smiling like that?

After that incident in the kitchen with Jungkook, she didn't hide her displeasure and contempt towards Jisoo. It's like that's her true colour and she is just hiding it for her son's sake. Jisoo even wanted to mention Taehyung about his mother. But she was hesitant because Taehyung loves his mother dearly. And she wasn't sure if he would listen to her and take her side over his own mother.

However, she is oddly showing her kindness and if Jisoo didn't know her true colour, she would have believed that she was being genuine.

"You two have a dance first. Rings exchanging event will start after that. How about it?" Grandma tells them as the two nod and goes to the place a few people are gathering around for dance.

"Let's have a dance.” Taehyung walks to her like a prince charming would under the spotlight as everything around them stops working.

She holds her breath and looks at the hand he is extending out. And, she puts her hand in his carefully in slow motion before he leads them to the core of dance floor.

As the main couple of the party, everyone pauses and stares at them in awe and admiration, some wishing it should have been them and some follow after them to participate in dancing with their partners.

“You look beautiful.” Taehyung whispers down to her as they sway their bodies along the music.

“Thank you.” Jisoo lowers her chin and tries her best to not step on his shoes and mess up the choreo. She has never danced before in her life and doing this in public where all eyes are on her, quite stresses her out.

In one swift move, Taehyung twirls her around like a doll and holds her waist gently to pull her closer. “Bear this a little bit, we're reaching to the end.”

She knows what he is trying to imply, because she has been counting the days since the very start.

“Do you like the gift I left on the dressing-table?” He asks gently, as he once again turns her around by her hand and this time, rests his both hands on her waist, whilst she puts her hands on his broad shoulders.

“Oh, the necklace?” When he nods, she nervously smiles. “I have it stored in my closet.”

“Jisoo, I gifted you so you can wear it.” His sharp eyebrows narrow as he is a bit disappointed that she is not that fond of his gift, not much enough to wear it around her neck.

“What? Ah, I'm sorry. I thought it's pretty expensive so I don't want to lose it while I dance.” She actually loves the necklace as it does not look extravagant rather moderate. But she can't risk it at all. She's afraid her clumsiness might lead her to dismay.

“That's so much like you.” he shakes his head with a small smile and then lifts his gaze to stare at her. “I should have put them around your neck personally.”

“I like the necklace, Tae. It's so pretty.” She assures the man as she doesn't want him to think otherwise.

The man holds his gaze on her a little longer as if he doesn't want to break it away, before he refocuses back on the dance and grips her waist tight.

Waltz dancing is quite difficult for Jisoo to catch up but she manages to pull it off with Taehyung's exquisite skills.

Then, it's time to change partners.

Taehyung twirls her body, causing her golden gown to spread out like a wing. Her gown swirls for a moment and his hand is no long holding her as she spins like a ballerina on the dance floor.

Till her body slams against the raw surface.

The first thing she can feel is her hands on the strong chest and a pair of possessive hands wrap around her waist. She has no idea why she can't open her eyes and stays breathless like that.

And a warm breath fans her ear. “There you are, little thief.”

“Jungkook,” she pants like she is out of breath and attempts to pull herself together.

She is the fiancée of the heir, Kim Taehyung. But his cousin, Jeon Jungkook, makes her feel things that she has never felt before.
