I set off as usual that day, not thinking anything would be out of the ordinary not knowing how wrong I was. I had got onto my bike and was on my way to work when it suddenly started raining heavily. I decided to take a different path to work as a shortcut, not knowing what awaited me.

I looked at my watch. It was 8:45 am. I had no idea where I was nor how to get back. The rain didn't help either. I quickly put my bike down and sat under a tree. I looked around to try and understand my surroundings but couldn't see anything except a bunch of trees. I was in the forest. But that doesn't make any sense cause there aren't any forests near my city. How in the world did I end up here?

To make matters worse, my phone had no signal, leaving me stranded with no way to call for help. Exhausted, I lowered my bike and sought refuge under a tree to escape the relentless rain. Suddenly, a chilling rustling sound emerged from the bushes nearby. I jolted upright, straining to discern any presence. "Hello? Is anyone there?" I called out, but the only response was an eerie silence. Fear gripped me as terrifying scenarios raced through my mind, and my heart pounded so fiercely that it drowned out any other sound.

The rustling noise seemed like it was coming closer and closer. I quickly ran in the other direction, hoping they wouldn't find me. Maybe, it could be that they also got lost. But at the same time, it could be some crazy lunatic trying to kill me! Yeah, I'm not taking my chances. So, I decided not to take any chances.

The rain had finally slowed down, and I looked down at my watch - it was 11:34 am. Suddenly, I saw a man with a knife in his hand coming towards me from the corner of my eye. I could feel my heart pounding as I ran for my life, leaving my bike behind. I closed my eyes and sprinted as fast as I could, the sound of my footsteps echoing in my ears. When I finally opened my eyes, I found myself standing on my own street.

I quickly looked back, and there was no forest in sight, nor the man with the knife. It was as if I had been teleported. But that's impossible, right? I looked down at my watch, and it was 8:45 am. Was this all in my head? A figment of my twisted imagination? Did I start hallucinating? Whatever it was, I was too tired to think right now. I walked through my street and approached my house. I opened the door to get my bike, but it was nowhere to be seen. It's been 2 years since that incident, and I have yet to tell a single soul about it. I mean, it's not like anyone would even believe me anyway. I still try to live my life as usual, even though sometimes I feel like I never truly left the forest or more like I'm constantly being watched by someone or something...
