**Raj was deep in the throes of sleep, the kind where dreams twist into reality, when his phone blared a ringtone that woke him upright. He squinted at the screen, the bright light stinging his eyes. An unknown number flashed back at him , rolling over.
"Not today," he muttered, burying his head in the pillow.
**The phone rang again.
"Ugh, fine!” he grumbled, irritated. With a reluctant swipe, he answered
“Hello?”
from the other side of the call " is that himanshu? "
**The voice was light and cheerful, with an unmistakable lilt. It took himanshu a second to guess it
“Urva?”
He asked, surprised. “How did you get my number?”
“idiot!! You only gave me on the first day... dumbo "
**she replied, and he could hear the smile in her voice.
Himanshu replied with a low voice
“Uh, right… I guess I did.”
He ran a hand through his hair, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.
“why did you call me , urva "?
Urva replied with pause voice
"Why can't I call you? "
Himanshu replied with a tired face " nooo "
Urva replied with a jolly voice
"That means yes...ok"
There was a brief pause Urva said
“I was just checking in. You haven’t been to college in four days! Are you okay?”
**A wave of warmth washed over him. He loved that she noticed his absence he zoned out for a moment then urva said
" Hey dumboooo did you sleep again "
Himanshu-
“Yeah, I’m fine,Just… needed some time”
He lied, not wanting to dive into the details of his condition then suddenly urva replied with a sarcastic voice
“Time? You mean to hibernate like a bear?”
she teased, her laughter lilting through the speaker. “You should be careful, or you’ll turn into a grizzly!”
He snorted, relaxing a little
“I don’t think I’d be very intimidating as a grizzly. More like a fluffy teddy bear.”
She replied with a happy voice
“Fluffy bears are cute! But seriously, you should come back. Everyone is asking about you. Even the teachers are concerned!”
Himanshu paused for a moment and takes a deep breath and ask really
She replied with a sarcasm in word
" Ughhhhh... Actuallyyyy .... No.. no one was asking about you "
**Himanshu doesn't say a word takes a deep breath and release it with a sigh on his face he burried his face in pillow but suddenly urva said
"Oyee dumbo where have you gone , are you coming tomorrow"
Himanshu replied with no and cut the call in the middle when urva was going to say something...
He slept again....
After 3 hours
**A door bell rings which make raj to get up from his sleep... He was in the sleep which was resisting him to get up from the bed
But sound of doorbell wake him up... He reaches the main door with a blurry vision rubbing his eyes
He opens the door.. a lady figure was standing in front of her smiling... He opens his eyes just in second...
His all sleepiness , fade away his eyes was wide open
Urva was the girl standing on the doorstep...
Urva - (with a bright smile on face ) Hiii!!!
**Himanshu pull her inside peeking out his head for checking that no one sees her... Coming back inside he close the door and turn back where he founds urva standing and looking at his house
Urva - wow is this your house... It's so big.. your room will be so wonderful..
**Himanshu thinking in his mind that only he knows how beautiful his house really... He takes the deep breath and ask urva
"From where she gets his address "
Urva replied with a mischievous smile " guess ? " Himanshu again ask her by making a annoyed face that where she gets his address..
For which urva replied that raj has given her Himanshu's home address
Himanshu - That,idiot .. son of ....
Then Himanshu asked her by still standing at the door step that why she is here... For which urva replied with a straight face that does he greet every guest like this making them stand on the doorstep
Himanshu apologize for it and take her to the hall making her comfortably sit on the sofa and brings water for him... After she drink the water he ask again that why she is here..
Urva replied to him " I just want to see your grumpy face ,idiot and you are also not coming to college"
Himanshu sighed and replied “That’s kind of overkill, don’t you think? It’s just college. I’m not dying and ( hesitate with shyness ) I.. am... not grumpy ”
Urva makes a weird face and replies that “Not yet, but if you keep hiding out in a cave of yours, who knows?” she said, her tone playful.
Urva laughed
She noticed his eyes and face which was turned red because of fever... She gets up from the sofa and moves towards him..
Looking urva coming towards him... Himanshu makes a funny position of defence for which urva said with a orderly tone to stand straight which himanshu obey
She touches his head which was burning because of fever
Urva - you have fever you didn't tell me...
Urva made him sit on the sofa and take out a thermometer from her bag which make himanshu amazed and he asked why she carries a thermometer in her bag for which urva replied in a scolding tone to
"shut up you don't know what else I am carrying.. keep this thermometer in your mouth and where is the wash basin "
Before Himanshu ask anything urva inserted thermometer in his mouth and said
" Leave it ,sit here quitly I will find by myself only "
She finds a wash basin she takes out her handkerchief from her bag and made it wet and soaked it then she brings it to himanshu and put it on himanshu's forehead to reduce his body temperature
Thermometer beeps
Urva take out the thermometer from his mouth it was 104° celcius... After seeing this much of temperature urva look at himanshu and scold him
" Why you didn't tell me that you have this much high fever not even you were doing anything to treat yourself... Are you a kid who can't take care of himself...and many more "
Without a word speaking himanshu was listening her by looking at her face ... Then she takes out a medicine from her bag and pour water in a glass and give it to himanshu... Without resisting himanshu takes that pill... Urva's face was angry
Himanshu asked her after she calms down that why she is caring about him so much
Urva replied that
" BECAUSE YOU ARE MY FRIEND IDIOT"
