She smoothed down her hoodie and tied her sweatpants, a dull look on her face. Aurora didn't want to dress up for this occasion, so she slid in some earrings and grabbed her suitcase, heading out of her door.Samantha stood outside of her dorm, a hand on her hip. "You are not wearing that."
Aurora stared at her blankly, stuffing her feet closer together. "It's a very good outfit. Not to mention it's cold outside, Sam—"
"Is she ready—" Mattheo raised an eyebrow at her. "You can't wear that. Let's change before Scorpius sees."
They shuffled back into her dorm and she took a seat on her bed, frowning even deeper now. Auroras not even sure if she wanted to go on this trip. She was the odd one out of this friend group, the only Hufflepuff, only halfblood, the only one who has nothing to do with her parents and especially the one who didn't come from money. So being invited to go to one of the richest man's house for the holidays just because he's her best friends father, doesn't sound very enticing.
Samantha relentlessly tossed dresses out of her closet and groaned. Aurora crossed her legs at her frustration. "You're not going to find what you're looking for in there."
Mattheo rolled his eyes, "Scorpius is about to barge in here any second. I am calling it."
"Here we go," Samantha smirked as she drug out a light yellow dress that flowed by her feet by hugged her upper body and waist. It stopped just above her feet, and Aurora had only worn that dress once. To the Yule ball with her ex boyfriend. "Perfect."
Aurora scrunched up her face when she exited the bathroom, the dress stuck to her body. Her curly hair was down, a little messy but still slightly damp from her previous shower.
Samantha clapped her hands repeatedly and Mattheo approved. All Aurora did was give them a blank look as she slid on a pair of black flats. "Can I at least grab a jacket?"
"Don't forget your wand," Mattheo reminded her as they started to exit again.
"It's packed in my bag," she responded, sliding on a hoodie just for the train ride.
"It is very much not. It's on your night stand." Samantha followed him out the door and Aurora huffed, turning her body around to grab her wand and finally leave her room with her luggage in the other hand.
Students were rushing all around them as they started to descend the stairs. When they reached the end of the stairs, Scorpius was waiting on them, but he wasn't paying attention with the girl under his arm that he was flirting with.
When he caught sight of them, his face changed and he left the girl standing there, walking up to his friends. "Where have you guys been? The train is literally going to leave us."
"As if you were so worried about that," Mattheo told him, all of them starting to exit the building.
The fresh air hit her nose and she found herself wanting this train ride to go as long as it possibly needed to. She hadn't left hogwarts for Christmas in over four years and this was all overwhelming for her.
