AYAME TAKASHIMA WAS BORN into one of the three great sorcerer clans, known for its vast focus on power, some say the Zen'in and Takashima were just alike, just slightly less stricter. From knee height, she was viewed as unique due to her technique which she inherited—Boundless Shadows, a technique that was thought to be lost for decades.
This technique was possessed by an ancient sorcerer, known for their mastery over limitless shikigami; however, it was said that this ability faded from the clan's lineage, and with it, the Takashima clan lost a part of their legacy.
Ayame's birth revitalised hope within the clan, seeing her as the opportunity to restore their clan's former glory. Though, there was an issue: she was a girl.
Her mother feared she would become a puppet in their struggles.
Believing the higher-ups would try to dominate her, her mother made an uncomfortable choice to hide her away. Far from the clan's reach, she sent her away, leaving her to grow up unaware of her origins or the full extent of her technique.
The day Ayame turned ten, calamity struck. Her adoptive family dying in an accident, caused by a lethal curse. Ayame was left alone, lost in the world without knowing her true self.
Around this time, she was found by Gojō, whom she'd seen when she was younger, not knowing it was him, who willingly took her in without hesitation. It wasn't until she was enrolled at Tokyo Jujutsu high, (under Gojō's recommendation, obviously) that Ayame discovered the truth: the origin of her family.
As word of her abilities began to spread, the Takashima clan searching for her once more. They had thought she had been killed by a curse—or maybe even killed by a bounty.
They wanted her back, not as a family member, but as a tool.
She had no desire to return, growing away from their toxic influence.
Her personal struggle was identity—finding a balance between the sweet, sympathetic girl who would do anything in her power to heal and help people, and the powerful sorcerer whose technique could change the fate of the Takashima clan.
Her original family's influence threatened to pull her back into a world of greed, though, her heart remains with her chosen family.
Okkotsu Yūta, a boy who had quite made a name for himself, was a quiet, flustered boy around Ayame, who had no clue that he would eventually develop feelings.
Despite being connected to a cursed spirit, his emotions for Ayame only deepened and deepened.

EXTRA INFO ON AYAME / soon to be special - grade, shes actually such a sweetheart. her and megumi are basically sunshine x rain. i know shes short, but im a sucker for height differences, i love my tall girls i promise. her technique is basically ten shadows, just limitless and way more enhanced ++ more techniques && she is able to create like fake illusions of herself, i'll go more in depth soon. she is a takashima but likes to write her last name as fushiguro.
