CHAPTER THIRTEEN: Dan and Kate

The mansion was quiet, the only sound the soft hum of the air conditioning. Dan and Kate were alone, the others having left for the night.

As they sat in the living room, the tension between them was palpable. They had been dancing around their feelings for each other for weeks, but now, with no one else around, they couldn't ignore it anymore.

Dan's eyes locked onto Kate's, his gaze burning with intensity. Kate's heart skipped a beat as she met his gaze, her body thrumming with excitement.
