as i turn off my phone i lean over to my bedside table grabbing my tv remote. i open spotify on my tv pressing on SZA on the app. i press shuffle as the song the weekend comes on first. i hum along to the lyrics before i slowly drift off to sleep.

the next day 6:30am.

i wake up to my alarm clock blasting down my ears rolling over to hit it. i look at the time on my phone realizing i haven't got long to get ready, i roll out of my bed dragging myself to the bathroom. i turn the shower on and have a cold shower to wake myself up while humming the lyrics to some song from tiktok.

after i get out my shower i dry my hair and style it in a high pony tail putting my lashes/mascara on my eyes. i look down at my phone seeing the time is 6:50am. i scroll through my notifications
seeing that atsumu had messaged me. i sign as i open the message seeing what he had to say.

i get up and change into my black shorts and tshirt putting my dark red inarizaki jacket on. on the back it displayed the number 5. i check the time seeing its 7:00 and then hearing knocks at my door i was aware it was mai and hana. i go down the stairs grabbing a banana on my way out and slip my volleyball shoes on.

i open my door to be greeted by the two pulling me into a hug.
"hana mai too tight!!" i exclaimed as they let go going into a small fit of giggles. we start to walk to the school gym, was it a Saturday? yes. was we aloud to use the gym? no. but the volleyball boys team were so we was aloud to today. i pealed my banana as i started to eat it as we approached the school i hear some very loud voices from behind me and the two girls.

"SAMU YER IN MY WAY HURRY UP WE MIGHT BE LATE" i sigh as i hear the boys voice and look down at the time realising it was 7:25. i put a light jog on making it into the gym at 7:29 on the dot entering with a smile. "yn glad you could make it". i let out a huff putting my bag down as i call my team in and kita calls his in. i allow kita to speak first to everyone as we all stay silent listening to him.

"i'm glad we could all make it here on time. except two of you" he made a glare at atsumu and osamu. "continuing on we will be playing a small practice match. i'm sure ln would agree with this. so we will separate everyone into teams of six."

3rd person pov
on one side of the court there was yn, suna, hana,
kita, emi and osamu. on the other side there was atsumu,aki,aran, aoi and akagi. yn and atsumu walk over to each other playing rock paper scissors to see who got first serve. yn won taking the ball with a smirk. one thing yn was known for was her jump float serve. it was very similar to oikawas but much more powerful. the whistle blows and yn spins the ball in her hand, throwing it up in the air and does her serve. earning the first point of the match.

she does her serve again but it gets received this time leaving her to go back to her position.
time skip to after practice
atsumus team won barely on the last set. he approached yn with a smirk. "i thought you were gonna destroy me" he says doing air quotes. "trust me i would've if u didn't get that last point" i answered in honesty rolling my eyes. i notice everyone had left me to walk home alone as i sign i grab my bag taking out my airpods seeing atsumu trail behind me. i put them in shuffling my playlist and the song "IVY - frank ocean" comes on.

i hum along to the lyrics but it was weird cause the first person i thought of when it came on was atsumu? i didn't understand why ill ask mai why later on.

ln was walking the same way as me? i never realised she walked home this way. hmm ill message osamu since he left me. i open my phone and press on his contact.

atsumu sighed as he closed the chat with samu.he looked up at saw yn look so peaceful nodding her head to the music in her headphones. if he was being truthful he use to like her in middle school, he always said the feelings went away. but sometimes you would make his heart flutter. he never moved on it though he was focused on volleyball and making it pro.
