When Jasper got abandoned by his parents at the young age of three, they threw him out of their car and onto the highway. He couldn't recall any memories from before that.

The only adult he had during his childhood was a woman named Freya, she was the woman who picked Jasper up from the highway, and the person that became his new mother. She was in no way a perfect mother. Though she was mostly very kind, she was a drug and alcohol abuser.

She had lost her husband a few years ago, which resulted in her abuse.

He had no friends since he was pretty isolated.

When Jasper started going to school, a whole new world opened up to him. He loved school, and he was fairly smart and got decent grades.

When school started again after the summer break, a new student was introduced into his class. It was a girl, her name was Zoe. She had long pink hair which was unusual to have at such a young age. Her school desk happened to be next to Jasper. She wasn't very social, her eyes had a melancholic look to them, but something about her was very intriguing to Jasper.

One day during school lunch, he noticed that Zoe wasn't in the cafeteria, where she would always be spotted sitting close to the window with a sandwich. He went to look for her, as it was practically his daily routine to stare at her in the cafeteria.

He looked around the school area and heard giggling in the abandoned school shed that wasn't in use anymore, he opened the old door and there she was, Zoe.

It seemed like she was smoking.

"Hey dude, you need to try this out!" she said while laughing. Jasper was stunned, this was the first time she had ever spoken to him. "Oh, this looks like what mom smokes, i've always wanted to try it out!" he said with multiple voice cracks. He was nervous, not only to be around her but also to try out this thing that his mom used frequently. He knew deep down that this was not good and it could potentially put both of them in bad trouble if the teachers found out, but he did this to get closer to her. His hand, which was wet from sweat, reached out to Zoe as she handed him her joint. After his first inhale, he felt true euphoria. "Wow, I totally get why mom smokes this, this shit slaps!" he said. His emotions had never been this strong before, he felt everything all at once.

"You know, you seem pretty cool, I'm usually not very talkative but you seem easy to talk to." Zoe said. Jasper was all ears, he really wanted to know more about this mysterious girl.

Zoe had a mother and a father who both treated her as their little princess, they would let her do most things, including dyeing her hair. "They're treating me like that because they want me to feel well enough mentally to do good in school, not because they mean it." she chuckled. "I fucking hate school, it makes me want to die." she continued.

In return for Zoe telling him about her childhood, he did the same.

"Oh shit i'm so sorry, i didn't think it would be that tragic, thank you for telling me!" she answered. She opened her arms, inviting Jasper for a hug. When they hugged, he felt as if a fire started in his heart, he wanted this girl really badly. They looked each other deep in the eyes, Zoe got closer to his face and was about to kiss him. Jasper had a plan, if he accidentally dropped the lit up joint he had in his hand, maybe it could start a fire which would eventually be seen by the teachers, the teachers would contact their parents and just maybe Zoe's parents would get so angry they didn't want her anymore. The hand he held the joint in was wrapped around her as they were hugging and kissing, he saw her already opened backpack behind her and dropped the joint in it. Jasper was about to explode, that was what he felt like at least.
