Adam, Chase, Leo, and Clary stood near their lockers before the first classes of the day started, Clary was learning against her locker, near the boys, as they talked
"Guys, the dance is coming up, I thought you boys could use a lesson on how to ask a lady out" Leo says with a smug smirk
"oh, great, do you know a guy who could teach us?" Adam asked
"Me!" Leo replied as he gestures to himself "You're going to watch me ask out the girl of my dreams, Danielle"
the three others looked across the hall to see some blonde girl sitting on a bench, on her phone
"Leo, I love you, but you suck at asking girls out" Clary points out
Leo gasped, offended "No, I don't!"
"when you practiced with me, I said no" she laughed
"Danielle? isn't she the girl who uses you as a footstool in math class?" Chase asked
"Where else is she supposed to put her feet? on the floor?" Leo scoffed "Open your notebooks, boys, cause class is in session!"
Clarissa rolls her eyes as Leo strolled over to Danielle, Chase and Adam Following. She already knows how this will turn out
"Hello, Danielle" Leo greets, lifting a foot on the bench "Do you know how much a polar bear weighs? enough to break the ice" He says as he then say beside her "I'm Leo Dooley"
"didn't you send me 87 emails?" Daniell asked
"Yeah, thay was a slow day"
Danielle shoulders her backpack and stood "Okay, well, see you later, Lenny"
"It's Leo, by the way!" He corrected before he waves
"So, Leo, what should I write? other than 'denied'?" Chase wondered
"no, no, no, you can cheat off of me" Adam said as he pretends to write "I have 'she's not going to the dance with Lenny'c
"Are you guys talking about the dance too?" Bree groans as he approached the four others "Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this stupid dance"
Chase shook his head, knowing smile on his face "nobody's asked you yet, have they?"
"no!" Bree complains, pointing at a guy near the entrance to the Gym "I really want to go with him. His name is Ethan, we sit next to each other in chemistry!" she squealed "what should I do, clary?"
Leo laughed "Harper hasn't asked anyone to the dance since seventh grade, he ditched her to go with someone else"
"Leo!" She hissed out, glaring at him before turning to Bree "Everything will be alright, Bree, just.. relax, and stay calm, freaking out will make it worse, he'd be lucky to go to the dance with you"
"I got this" Chase said as he stepped up, tucking some hair behind his ear, activating his bionic hearing to eavesdrop on Ethan and his friends conversation "He's talking about a girl he thinks is cute. ew! he's talking about Bree. he's coming over here right now to ask you to the dance"
Bree gasped, starting to panic "What! No! now? why? Really!?"
"Hey Bree, how's it going?" Ethan asks as he approaches, Brees eyes widening and smiling nervously
"Ethan! what a huge surprise, to see you here, for reasons we do not know" Chase said,
"Hey Ethan, how.. uh, you know, we, you know, decided.." Bree stuttered over her words before pointing behind Ethan "what's that over there?"
Ethan turned, and a gust of wind blew through the halls as Bree sped away, leaving the others to awkwardly stand still
"where'd she go?" Ethan asked
