Aftermath

I never thought I'd find this old journal again... It's been so long since I last wrote in here. I'm 18 now. Yeah, crazy, right? Time flies. It's weird looking back at all this—everything I went through. I almost can't believe it happened. But let's catch up. Let me give you a rundown of what's changed...

...

...

I got tired of it all—the harassment, the bullying. It wasn't just from the other people stuck in that place, but the scientists too. They kept poking fun at me, like it was some game. They'd laugh and call me names because of the crystals growing out of me. And as if that wasn't enough, I guess I'm Radioactive now. And somehow a Fire Hazard too. Yeah, you heard that right. They even slapped some new label on me: "Apollyon." No clue what that means. Probably something bad.

I got sick of it, all of it... and I snapped. I don't remember everything—things got so blurry in my head—but I know I got angry. Really angry. Something inside just clicked, and I broke out. I escaped!! It was chaotic, and there was so much noise and light, but I did it. I'm free.

...

...

Now I live in the forest, far away from that place. I found this cave—it's deep and dark, but it's safe. It's mine. And... I have friends here. I mean, pets, but they're more like family. There's Xena, my Raven. She's so smart and quick. Then there's Ambyss, my Tiger Salamander. He's kinda slow but really sweet. And last is Levia, my Spider-Tailed Horned Viper. Levia's a bit sneaky, but she likes curling up on my crystals. They all do, actually. The crystals don't scare them—they seem to like them.

And I guess... I've learned to live with the crystals too. They're not just something I'm stuck with anymore. They're a part of me. My pets are like my little family now. My children, almost. I take care of them. And they actually like me. It's more than I've ever had before.

...

...

The cave has lots of crystals, more than I've ever seen before. They shimmer in the dark, casting these amazing colors all around. I've decided I'm going to protect them. People come sometimes—humans, I think, though I don't really remember how they looked before. They try to sneak into the cave, to steal my crystals. But I don't let them. I always get rid of them, scare them away. They don't deserve to have these. These crystals are mine. They're all I have left.

...

...

One more thing. I'm not Kallis anymore. I'm not that "Subject" or any of their stupid numbers.

I've changed, just like everything else. Now, I go by...

Lucid's Prisms.

That's who I am now. My name. My identity. My world.

So now what I have to say is...

ICH HABE GEWONNEN!
