The smell of rain and mud enveloped the noses of thousands of French and British soldiers. At the forefront of each side were Napoleon Bonaparte and The Duke of Wellington, and next to them stood each country's chosen countryhuman. Riding on a silky smooth White horse with a golden mane named Clementine was Celestine Lavigne, an elite countryhuman with an immense amount of boldness, grit, and determination, with skills that rivaled France's human leader himself. Staring back at her was the British countryhuman, Ellison, a broad-shouldered man who was a former elite, but lost his wings to his son. Celestine had always found his loss as a point of weakness and mockery, often using it to poke fun at him and provoke him. The two of them had met in many, many conflicts in the past decade, but this seemed to be her final chance to gain the upper hand, and she was determined to do so.

Before the French knew it, cannon fire was raining down on them, Celestine, in a risky maneuver rushed directly towards British lines on her horse, dodging shots that came from the shitty brown bess musket the British used, they had no goddamn aim, unlike her gun. Clementine reared up, Celestine firing level shots into the chests of enemy soldiers, a horde tried to surround her and fling her from her horse, but they were bucked backward by Clementine. A man trying to face a countryhuman by himself was a lost cause. Despite the outlook on women by humans, Celestine was more physically capable and strong than every army man. With a sickening boom, loads of cannonballs rained on the battlefield. Celestine tightly gripped the reins, Clementine galloped forward once more, trampling British soldiers in her path, she wouldn't be halted easily, neither of them would. A pool of blood formed on Clementine's hooves, staining her white coat red, Celestine yelled yowls of encouragement to the horse, egging her on to keep going, which she did.

With the soldiers out of her way, she emerged in the center of the fray, where Ellison sat on his horse, casually conversing with the duke. The pair had no time to react, Clementine crashed between the two, sending them flying off their horses, which ran around, spooked. Shaking her reins, Celestine and Clementine rushed forward, about to trample the Duke of Wellington to death when suddenly a black blur got in the way, Ellison's horse.

Ellison scrambled back onto his horse's back, which whinnied angrily, stomping its feet. Clementine nickered back, staring at the black stallion with a look that almost showed rage, despite being unable to make a facial expression. Celestine's face twisted into a smile, her arms relaxing slightly.
"Ah... Ellison. Protecting your little human friend, huh?"

Celestine sneered, her brows furrowed heavily, which twitched ever so slightly, Celestine shook bits of water from her hair.

"You shall not proceed, Lavigne!"

Ellison snapped back, looking almost as pissed as Celestine but not quite, he whipped his reins, his horse stepping forward, intending to make Clementine and Celestine step back, but they remained firm in place.

"If you think you will make me fail... You are wrong, British Bastard!"

Celestine snarled, lightly kicking the side of Clementine, who charged forward toward the countryhuman and his stallion. The gray and cream stallion reared up in response, Ellison trying to gain control of his horse. Taking the chance, Celestine jumped off Clementine, her wings spreading wide. She slammed into Ellison, knocking him off the stallion. Unknowing to Celestine, the duke had fled with his horse into the middle of combat.

Celestine slammed Ellison to the ground, who squirmed under her. Smirking, she lifted her Austerlitz sword to his throat.

"Wouldn't be unfortunate if you died here..."

Ellison, in an act of desperation, punched up, his knuckles making immense contact with her nose. At the same time, he kicked up, smashing his heels into her stomach. With a grunt, Celestine was thrown away, the French countryhuman scattering to her feet, gripping her torso.

"Damn you!"

Celestine sputtered out, letting out a soft cough. The wet ground sunk under her boots from her weight, sprinting forward. Ellison turned and ran, he would have stayed to fight but it was just too open...

"Coward!"
Celestine chased the British Countryhuman, her movements swift and calculated, she would chase him for as long as she had to. Combat waged all around them, bullets whizzing by with intense speed, the lead likely to make contact with a human, which would certainly kill them. Corpses of both French and British soldiers were scattered about the battlefield like old dolls that had been played with brutally by their owners.

After passing many men, Ellison found himself pressed against a rock. Celestine slowly approached, her head held high. Her wings spread wide with pride, she seemed almost cocky...

"I've got you now..."

Celestine came closer, speaking once more, her face smirking again, blood trickling from her nose and down her face, some of which got caught in her lips, entering her mouth.

"If you can't handle yourself on the battlefield, Ellison. Then you're a worthless lump of skin to your country!"

Celestine swooped forward, her Austerlitz sword swinging with severe speed, which struck Ellison's side. Ellison let out a grunt of pain as he watched Celestine swoop upward. Staring upward, Ellison yelled out.

"Who's the coward now, French rat!"

Glaring daggers at him, Celestine swooped down. She was doing exactly what he wanted. The moment Celestine was in range, pain seared through her like a fire. She yelled, crashing into the ground, her fancy uniform soaked in mud. Her right wing was bent at an odd angle, pieces of bone fractured and poking out of feathers, gushing blood everywhere, very clearly broken with a compound fracture. Ellison had used his gun and the force she flew at him to break her wing. Celestine panted heavily, the pressure of Ellison's boot digging itself firmly into the center of her back between her wings.

"Are you still proud of yourself Celestine, even after all you've done?"

"I'll always be proud...!"

"We'll see."
Ellison said blankly, blood percolating down his midsection. His hands firmly gripped Celestine's sword, who tried to tug back, but the pain was overwhelming her, and she let go. Pulling it firmly out of her grasp, Ellison applied more force to the shaking woman's body. He tossed her blade away, tightly holding the hilt of his own Sabre, pulling it from its cow leather sheath. He vigorously grabbed her uninjured wing, The french countryhuman realized what was going to happen, and tried to jolt up, but it was too late. In a split second, Ellison brought the blade down upon the wing, causing feathers and bone to be sent flying everywhere. He brought it down again, droplets of blood flicking all over the place, Celestine squirming in pure agony, as he sheathed his saber once more, getting onto his hands and knees.

"You did this to yourself, Lavigne."

Ellison put simply, before simply grabbing onto the veins and tendons in her wings. He squeezed hard, relishing in her yells. In one swift motion, he yanked backward, ripping them from the inner wing, sending even more sputters of blood all over. He moved fast with his hands, ripping the tendons and veins from the other side, resulting in the same thing, before rapidly grabbing ahold of feathers, ripping them out, and casting them to the side.

Celestine's distressed yells rang out on the battlefield, it was almost as if time froze as soldiers stared at the scene in front of them with terror. She thrashed about, only getting more and more frantic.

Ellison picked up his saber once more, and with one final swing, an excruciating snap was heard among the closest soldiers, blood squirting everywhere, as bones broke from bone, veins broke from veins. The area where her wings used to be was now nothing but two small bloody stumps, which bled like small waterfalls out of her back. Taking a step back, Ellison panted as he stared at the fallen woman, smiling. Victory.

Celestine's eyes were unfocused, and severely pained, as Ellison turned his back to her. She weakly pushed herself up, dashing at him in an almost stumble, but was quickly grabbed by multiple British soldiers, who firmly held her back.

"Do you yield"

"..."
"I said... Do you yield!"

"I yield..."

The soldiers moved past Ellison and towards where the British armies were set up. She needed treatment before being moved to a secure location so nothing like this would ever happen again, alongside Napoleon Bonaparte, who had been captured earlier. Celestine had failed...

She had lost...
