Ayanda
"Wake up intombazane, You've got work to do!"said Amahle.
After crying a storm the night before, Ayanda finally gained the courage to continue going on,she got up washed her face and tied up her curls.
"I'm gonna run away." She thought to herself as her
lips curled up into a smile.
A few moments later.
Ayanda and a few other women around Ayanda's age which was 17, walked in a single file manner all following Amahle.
They soon reached the King's quarters and were put into groups instructed to clean. There were 9 girls so they were split into groups of 3.
"The King will be coming today from his visit to German South west Africa ( Namibia )." Said one of the girls, Ankali.
"The Palace gates will be opened wide and a big procession of musicians will play their instruments." Ankali continued.
And then it hit Ayanda. This was how she was going to run away and be free.
She didn't think of the consequences all she could think of was the taste of freedom, she wanted it so badly she would die for it.
She knew her plan was dangerous but she felt safer knowing she would be free.
Alemaheyu
The sight of the kingdom showered Alemaheyu with peace, not because he is at peace when he's back in his kingdom but because he hates not being near his daughter. Now he's coming home back to darling Fadimatou.
After Zauna died during child birth, unlike other fathers who would hate their daughters under such circumstances, Alemaheyu chose to be Fadimatou's mother and father.
The horses came to a halt at the wall which separated the Kingdom of Omuhole from the surrounding land. Soon enough the Huge gold gates opened and commoners gathered around too bow down to their great king who couldn't care less about them.
As the horses slowly galloped through the streets of Omuhole, the crowds screamed at the top of their lungs. Some praised the king others cursed him.
He finally reached the palace gates which were immediately opened.
He then saw a short women with fear plastered on her face.
