A Few Days Later

At Kim’s Central Hospital

Taehyung was working under Jin

Jin:- (knocks) Taehyung, open the door (no response) Taehyung? (still no response) Is he in surgery? Let’s ask the receptionist. (heads to reception)

At Reception

Receptionist:- Good evening, Dr. Kim.

Jin:- Good evening. Is Dr. Kim Taehyung in the surgery room?

Receptionist:- Yes, Doctor. He’s performing his last surgery of the day

Jin:- Okay. (leaves)

Jin heads directly to Taehyung’s cabin.

Jin:- Where did he keep those patient files?

Jin searches through the files and, upon opening a drawer, finds the files along with cigarette packets.

Jin:- (fuming) Taehyung, how could you? (takes deep breaths to calm down) I swear, Kim Taehyung, if this is true, you’ll see the worst side of me. (takes the file and leaves)

Somewhere in Seoul

?: Kim Taehyung, I will make your life a living hell, and your brothers’ too. Just wait for me, darling. (smirks)

Back at the Hospital

Later

Jin:- (calls Taehyung) Taehyung, come to my cabin right away.

Taehyung:- (heart pounding) You called me, sir?

Jin:- Yes, come in.

Taehyung enters, his hands trembling slightly.

Jin:- So, tell me, do you smoke cigarettes?

Taehyung:- (voice shaking) N-no, h-hyung, I-I d-don’t.

Jin:- Oh, really? Let’s go to your cabin. (heads to Taehyung’s cabin)

Taehyung follows, his mind racing with fear and anxiety.

Jin:- Taehyung, come here. (Taehyung approaches, feeling a knot in his stomach) What’s this? (opens the drawer) You idiot, just troubling us. (drags him to the car)

Jin starts the car and drives at high speed, while Taehyung is terrified, his eyes wide with fear.

They arrive at the mansion.

Jin:- Get down and go to my room with your hands up. (coldly)

Taehyung nervously gets out of the car, his legs feeling like jelly, and goes to Jin’s room.

Later

Jin:- So, why are you here?

Taehyung:- (voice barely a whisper) Umm, I-I took cigarettes. (gulps, feeling a lump in his throat)

Jin:- Hmm, get ready for your punishment.

Jin:- (grabs a cane, eyes blazing with anger) Taehyung, you need to understand the consequences of your actions.

Taehyung:- (trembling, eyes wide with fear) Why did I have to be so careless? Hyung, please… I’m sorry…

Jin:- (raises the cane) Sorry isn’t enough this time. (delivers a few sharp hits)

Taehyung:- (winces with each hit, tears streaming down his face) The pain is unbearable, but I deserve this. I let everyone down. Hyung, please… it won’t happen again…

Jin:- (pauses, breathing heavily, his expression softening slightly) You better make sure it doesn’t. (lowers the cane) Now, get out of my sight.

Taehyung:- (stumbles to his feet, clutching his side, and nods) I need to get out of here. I can’t face him right now. Y-yes, hyung. (quickly leaves the room, his heart pounding) I have to find a way to make this right. I can’t keep making these mistakes.
