Ugh... my head hurts, what happened? Who am I? I felt fuzzy... I cant seem to recall any memory and I dont know how I wish to feel about it.

I mean, I'm still befuddled and I am in no shape to think properly.

I still felt dizzy and a slight headache assaulting me... everything seemed so dark.

"He's waking up! Quick call grandma!" Who is that? I opened my eyes only to be greeted by a ceiling.

My eyes briefly winced at the pain of staring at a light before shifting my gaze as I lift my body.

"Eak! He is standing up! What do we do?" I heard a young voice followed by others and the shuffling of feet.

"Hm?" My eyes set on several children most of which were either 7 or 8 years old and some that looked like to be 11 or 12.

"Ah! Well look who's awake!" This one felt older and my attention quickly went to the source and was greeted by an elderly whose in her sixties.

Walking in with a cane on one hand but the most peculiar thing that I noted was the round fluffy ears poking from her head.

She wasn't the only one who look out of place as the kids had various features I'm pretty sure only animals would possess.

"Just where the hell did I got myself into?" I wish to know but that will until I get a clear understanding or my own situation.

My lost memories was another issue I'll address later but for now. "Excuse me ma'am but can you explain how I'd gotten here?" I asked as politely as I can manage to muster.

"No, need to be wary young man... I see your unaware of your situation, well it's a short tale to be told if you wish to know." Yes, please anything to resolve some of my questions.

"Yes, it would do me well to know and mayhaps recall what I must have forgotten." The old lady simply smiled it was welcoming much to my surprise.

"You forgot?" I nodded. "How much can you recall young man?" None whatsoever... I seem to know only what is considered necessary knowledge to function and survive to care for myself.

"I'm afraid none whatsoever... I cannot remember anything, not even a speck of who I am." Whether or not she believe me is uncertain.

Her eyes narrowed briefly before I noted a gleam of pity... well given my state I suppose I do look pitiful.

"Amnesia, what a terrible thing to have for such a man of your age." How old am I exactly? I suppose by young either I am in my teen years or early adulthood.

The latter seemed more likely. "Yes, I suppose it is." My words seemed to have garnered my sympathy since I'm genuinely confused.

"Let us hope it is temporary it would be difficult for you live knowing you have forgotten who you are and those whom you know." Do I even have a family?

Before I can further think of such a depressing thought the old lady was quick to change the subject between us.

Must have notice how awkward it was becoming. "I am Lena the Director of this humble orphanage, my little ones had found you unconscious near our garden nearly buried in snow."
