(Uriel POV)Life was never easy no matter how one may try to make it so.
"Y-You'll never catch m-me alive!" Just like how this man is making things harder for him.
*Boom*
Tch... annoying. "Wha-guuh!" I don't want to waste time that would have been more useful elsewhere.
"Hm... for a 500 million credit worth, he isn't an impressive thief as I would've assumed." Or was I just that powerful?
It's been what? Six months since I left the orphanage but I did contact or visit from time to time.
After all their generosity to helping me it's the least I could do by sending some portion of my earnings to repay them.
Now finding work wasn't east, especially when I lack any background or history.
But there are other legal ways without requiring such things... now it's not so shady or illegal as most might think.
I essentially joined a guild kinda cliche but it was common even in an interstellar society that I now live in.
They didn't care of my lack of background as they simply assumed I was some refugee of a fallen world.
A fact I learn was common since there were several kinds of disasters that were so common that people were just used to such things.
I on the other hand was not and felt a sense of wrongness at the thought of it or rather my power.
That at least gave me clues as I gathered various info after registering myself as a interstellar bounty hunter.
In short the universe is riddled with 19 beings known as Aeons who preside over a concept, godlike entities that are either good, bad or neutral.
Though the latter option was dubious for me to believe as I doubt any of them would remain neutral for long.
Now few of these Aeons were cause of said disaster, one them being a swarm of bugs another was genocidal hellbent on destroying everything.
The rest were either in between as I've noted varied fear and admiration thrown on the other aeons depending on which one they follow.
Said aeons grants powers to people through paths as they call it, though the more special ones who gained the attention of the Aeon are dubbed as Emanators.
In short those people become favored or champion of sorts, there is another distaste of course.
They call it a Stellaron some sort of 'cancers of the world', the moment I first heard the word my power flared acting hostile at the mention of said things.
I haven't seen one yet since I was focus on making a living and gather enough money to not worry for several years or so.
Hence why I am here now on some asteroid belt in a random systems where I captured a wanted thief in his base of operation.
I gotta say he had an impressive hideout then again with the information I got regarding him, he had stolen from a lot of influential people.
Which explains the high price for his head. "Just another day for me." This is not the first big catch I caught.
Given how fast I worked my way up in the guild, my rank as Bounty Hunter is at least in the top 20.
I wasn't really aiming to be famous it's just the higher the reputation I get the higher bounty I can catch.
