( intro to the game, black screen with dialogue)
walking... ive been walking for nearly 2 days now.
yet ive seen not a single person, or animal.
no sign of life, anywhere.
im wondering now, am i alive?
is this what the afterlife is.
its so desolate, cold and dark.
ill just have to keep walking..
maybe, just maybe ill find someone
and they will be able to tell me what is going on.
( intro to the game, maybe a nice song, save, load, cg, options etc.)
( now following POV of masuyo's diary.)
masuyo: today i found an empty notebook in a little store i walked by today. i decided it would be a good idea to document what im going through and what i may find. i have my dads gun, in case i need to protect myself.. surely i wont have to use it, i havent seen a single person.
( switches to art of masyuo holding a pen, sitting on rocks and broken bits of buildings writing in the book.)
for starters, my name is masuyo and i am 18 years old. i woke up 2 days ago to the world being entirely devoid of all life. my mom and dad, they were both gone, its just me now. nothing outside is too different besides some broken buildings and there isnt a single bit of power. i just want to find sign of life, even a mouse would make me glad, just knowing theres someone other than me out here would be such a relief.
( masuyo closes the book, and the pov is switched to looking at the night sky.)
masuyo: i should get some rest.. i need to keep going tomorrow, i need to find someone..
(screen goes black and says "i hope i find someone.." before it opens back up to the pov of a cat. now masuyo sprite is talking.)
cat: mroww?
masuyo: *just waking up, rubbing eyes* mmf.. wh-what? a kitty?
the cat paws at her, then turns around to take a big stretch.
masuyo: wha! a kitty!
masuyo begins to rub the cats head and almost sheds tears of joy.
masuyo: oh, youre the first living creature ive seen other than my reflection in the water on the ground.. oh you must be so hungry!
masuyo grabs her bag and begins to rummage through it, she then finds some of the canned food she grabbed at the convenience store.
masuyo: here.. its not gourmet but itll fill your small tummy up, i grabbed tuna in hopes id find a cat or at the very least a dog. please eat kitty.
the cat meows before scarfing down the whole can of tuna within seconds!
masuyo stares with shock and then softly smiles.
masuyo: i guess you were more hungry than i had anticipated.. im glad you found me.
masuyo stands up, grabbing her bag and slinging it over her left shoulder, as it lays on her right hip. bending down to pet the cats head before she begins to walk away.
masuyo: i hope youre willing to come with me! i could really use the company. especially from someone as adorable as you!
cat: meowww..
